You might have heard that The North Face offers a generous discount for doctors and nurses. During the height of the pandemic in 2020, the brand offered healthcare workers a whopping 50% off — but unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. It was sure good while it lasted, as The North Face healthcare discount was one of the best we’ve ever seen (and we track all the brands with healthcare discounts).

But there are still a few ways you can save on The North Face products, even though the healthcare discount is no more. Here’s everything we know about The North Face healthcare discount and the ways you can save right now.

The North Face healthcare discount was a whopping 50% off — but it’s no more.

In April 2020, The North Face began offering a 50% discount to frontline healthcare workers as a way to thank them for fighting the pandemic. But The North Face healthcare discount ended at the close of 2020, and the program is no longer offered for healthcare workers as of 2022.

You can still save 10% with other discount programs from The North Face.

Student Discount (10% off)

The North Face offers a 10% discount for all college and university students that can be used once every 30 days. To apply the discount to an online purchase, head to their website and register with SheerID. Once you’ve verified your enrollment, you’ll receive a 10% off promo code you can use on your next online order. You can request a new promo code every 30 days, as long as you reverify your enrollment each time.

You can also show a valid student ID at a physical store to receive the discount in person, but keep in mind it can only be used at full-price stores, not outlet stores.

Military Discount (10% off)

Military members are also eligible for 10% off their entire purchase from The North Face once every 30 days. The SheerID process is the same as for The North Face student discount: Just verify your military status online and reenter your information once every 30 days to receive a new promo code.

The discount is for all active military members, reservists, veterans, and retired U.S. military personnel. Spouses and dependents of active personnel are also eligible.

XPLR Pass (10% off)

If you aren’t a student or military member, you can still get 10% off a purchase. The North Face offers a loyalty program called XPLR Pass. By signing up, you can earn points that turn into store credit as well as early access to new products and limited-edition items. Once you join, you’ll get 10% off your first online order, and The North Face will continue to send you promotional offers and occasional free gifts with purchases.

Use your healthcare discount at other retailers that sell The North Face gear.

The discounts outlined above are only valid if you’re shopping on The North Face website or at a physical store, but we all know that’s not the only place to shop for The North Face gear. You can find healthcare worker discounts at many other retailers who carry The North Face products. And most of their healthcare discounts are even better than the 10% you’d save with The North Face military or student discounts or their XPLR pass program.

Academy Sports + Outdoors

For three weeks each fall, Academy Sports + Outdoors offers a 10% discount to medical first responders. The list of workers eligible for the discount includes EMTs, paramedics, medical helicopter pilots, and flight nurses.

Backcountry.com

You can shop for The North Face jackets and gear at Backcountry.com with their 20% off healthcare worker discount. Their prices are typically already lower than The North Face site, so you’ll save even more. Once you verify your employment status through ID.me, you’ll get 20% off all full-price purchases on the website.

Moosejaw

Moosejaw carries The North Face products and offers a generous discount, although the program isn’t open to all healthcare workers.
