We’re big fans of store rewards programs that let you earn points for every purchase, and Saks Off 5th has one of their own that sort of flies under the radar. In case you’re not familiar with Saks Off 5th, it’s the (relatively) new name for Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th — one of the best retailers for finding discounted designer clothing, accessories, and home goods. (Kind of like a Nordstrom Rack.) Though they’ve been around as a brand since 1990, the Off 5th rewards program launched in May 2022.
This program will give you points for every dollar you spend, ultimately rewarding you with real cash that you can spend on future purchases. Plus, there are three different statuses that you can reach — Star, Icon, and OFFicial — all of which will give you even more cool perks. The best part? It’s free to join and you’ll automatically get a 10% off welcome reward.

To join the Off 5th rewards program, all you have to do is sign up online. Just add your email, phone number, and first and last name. Choose a password, and select “Sign Up Now.”

You’ll get $5 in Off 5th store credit every time you earn 500 points.
As a member of the Off 5th program, you’ll earn points on every eligible purchase made at Saks Off 5th — both in-store and online. There are three tiers of membership (more on that in a sec). You’ll earn two points for every dollar spent if you’re a Star member, three points for every dollar spent if you have Icon status, and four points for every dollar spent with OFFicial status. You have 30 days from the date of purchase to earn rewards, so if you forget to tell an associate at checkout that you’re a member, just keep your receipt and contact Customer Service.
Once you hit 500 points ($250 spent), you’ll get a $5 reward that you can spend at Saks Off 5th. It’s worth noting that rewards get issued in $5, $10, $15, and $20 increments, so don’t expect to earn them until you reach those amounts. Here’s how the earnings break down in terms of cashback:
- Star member: Get $5 rewards after you spend $250 (like 2% cash back)
- Icon member: Get $5 rewards after you spend $167 (like 3% cash back)
- OFFicial member: Get $5 rewards after you spend $125 (like 4% cash back)
But there are two sneaky ways to earn 50 – 100 more points.
To earn more points, use these sneaky hacks:
- Sign up for Saks Off 5th text messages. By doing so, you’ll earn 50 points.
- Download the Saks Off 5th app (iOS / Android) to earn 100 points. These points will go straight to your account.
TIP: Your points will usually be added to your account within three business days after the day you purchased something in-store. For online orders, it can take up to 30 days for your points to show up in your account.
Your Off 5th Rewards points will never expire, but rewards do.
The points you earn on purchases or by signing up for texts and/or downloading the app do not expire. However, your Rewards do have an expiration date. These Rewards include your $5, $10, $15, and $20 vouchers as well as your Birthday Rewards.
Rewards expire on the date stated on the Rewards email you receive. Usually it’s 90 days or more from the date you got the Reward. Be sure to keep track of when your Rewards expire so you don’t lose them!
How quickly you earn points depends on your membership tier — which depends on how much money you spend at Off 5th.
There are three different statuses you can achieve with the Off 5th Rewards membership. There’s Star, which is the lowest; Iconic, which is middle-tier; and OFFicial, which is the highest. To reach different statuses, you need to spend a certain amount of money each year. They count the year as Feb. 1 – Jan. 31.
You’ll start out as a Star member if you spend $0 – $299 in a year. To have Icon status, you need to spend $300 – $1,499. And to be an OFFicial member, you need to spend $1,500 or more each year.
Status level perks for Off 5th Rewards:
- Star member: Get two points for every $1 spent, a 15% off coupon during your birthday month, and special bonus points promotions.
- Icon member: Get three points for every $1 spent, a 15% off coupon during your birthday month, special bonus points promotions, and free standard shipping,
- OFFicial member: Get four points for every $1 spent, a 15% off coupon during your birthday month, special bonus points promotions, free standard shipping, and a bonus $20 off Reward.
TIP: The birthday reward is 15% off your online or in-store purchase, which expires after 30 days.
Redeem your Off 5th Rewards online or in-store.
To redeem your Rewards online, log into your account on SaksOff5th.com or on the Saks Off 5th app. When you’re ready to check out, you’ll see your Rewards in the “My Rewards” section. Select “Apply” on any Rewards you want to put toward your purchase.
To redeem your Rewards in-store, tell the associate at checkout that you have a Rewards membership. You might have to share your email address or phone number as proof. From there, the associate will see which rewards you have available and apply them to your order.
If you return something you bought using a Reward, you won’t get your Reward back.
Keep in mind that Rewards are for one-time use only. If you return something that you purchased with a Reward, you won’t receive the Reward back in your account. Anytime you’re thinking about cashing in your rewards, make sure you really want the item!
For example, if you were to purchase something for $20 and use a $5 Reward, you’d only get a refund of $15 if you were to return the item. The $5 Reward you originally used is forfeited.
Overall, the Off 5th membership is worth joining since it’s free. Plus, you’ll earn points every time you shop — and you’ll even get some fun bonuses and perks.
