Here are the markdown and sales schedules for 20 of your favorite clothing stores, as well as additional info on how save even more:

  • Dillard’s: Cardholders get first dibs on markdowns every Wednesday. Thursday–Saturday are the best days for other customers to find new markdowns. Take advantage of their annual New Year’s sale, where you can take an additional 50% off clearance items.

  • Forever 21: Free shipping over $50 means you can skip the crazy lines and check out the daily markdowns online. This large retailer receives new shipments almost every day, which means they consistently add marked-down clothing to their usually massive sales section.

  • Gymboree: This retailer has many big sales a year, including the spring and fall baby sales, their Red Balloon semi-annual (January and June), Jingle deals (every week in December), Gym Bucks sales (four times a year), and their Rise and Shine deals (also four times a year).   • Marshalls: Like other discount retailers, Marshalls receives multiple shipments per week with over 10,000 new products hitting the floor. Check their website for seasonal trends that you may expect to find in-store. Expect discount reductions throughout the week.
  • Nordstrom: Their half-yearly sale for women and kids takes place in May and November this year. The men’s half-yearly sale happens in June and December.
