If you’ve been to New York City recently, you know that tickets to Broadway shows generally cost at least $100, often more. To make seeing live theater in one of New York’s amazing theaters this fall less expensive, many top shows have lowered their ticket prices by up to 50 percent…if you purchase them by September 5. According to Travel Zoo.com, some of these are the lowest prices they’ve seen all year!
Just a few of the shows included in the offer are:
- Mary Poppins starting at $67
- Spider-man with music by Bono for $59
- Chicago with Kara DiGuardi as Roxie Hart for $49.50
- Tony Award winner Memphis for $58.50
- Mamma Mia for $58.50
To take advantage of this offer, follow this link. Tickets must be purchased by September 5 and are subject to availability. Performance dates vary by show, but most go from now into November.
Another good place to get New York theater ticket is the TKTS booth in Times Square. If you’re already in New York and want to try to see a show, stop by this booth at Broadway and 47th Street. This popular resource offers same day theater tickets at up to 50 percent off of the box office price. Not all shows are offered. The booth is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
There are 40 professional theaters seating 500 or more patrons in New York’s theater district, making it the second largest such district in the English-speaking world behind London’s West End. In 2010, more than 12 million people attended a Broadway theater performance.
