One of the new additions to the weekly deal game is Yuupon, a Groupon-type clone that offers weekly specials on hotels, attractions and other travel components…as well as other consumer items. Like Groupon, these deals represent at least a 50 percent savings and are only valid if a certain number of people buy into the deal. Similar to Priceline, the name and exact location for many of the the hotels or attractions aren’t revealed until you purchase the deal, although you are given an approximate location and a star rating. Below is a sampling of this week’s Yuupon deals:
1. Philadelphia – One night’s accommodation for two adults at the Holiday Inn in Philadelphia’s downtown historic district from $100 (a $147 value.) One child can also stay free in the room and eat free at the hotel restaurant. Book and travel by January 4, 2017.
2. Orlando/Disney World Area – Two nights’ accommodations for two adults and up to two children at the Clarion/Maingate hotel near Walt Disney World in Florida for $129 (a $260 value.)
