If you like to save money (like I do), February is shaping up to bring lots of new options our way!
For instance, CVS just re-launched its top-rated mobile app for Apple and Android. The new app not only makes everyday tasks (like refilling prescriptions) easier, but it also makes it easier to keep track of your CVS coupons, deals and rewards too!
According to CVS management, the CVS app has “undergone a complete transformation.”
In a nutshell, you can now manage your entire CVS experience in-app.
App changes worth noting:
- The home screen is more personalized to your unique preferences.
- The toolbar is updated to make finding what you need faster and easier.
- The layout is updated with one-click navigation to the area you need.
- The app’s rewards section auto-loads our preferred rewards and coupons to our cards.
Speaking of coupons and rewards….
One of the biggest changes to the design of the new app comes in the form of making it faster, easier and more lucrative to redeem ExtraCare Rewards, coupons, weekly ads, offers and deals.
ExtraCare Rewards Card
The new CVS app makes it easy to link your ExtraCare Rewards Card to the app to keep track of your rewards balance and coupons. You also never have to worry about forgetting your actual card again, because once your card is linked in-app, you can just use the digital version!
My Deals, Rewards and WeeklyAd
This may be the most popular change to the new CVS app. With the My Deals and Rewards part of the app (including the weekly ad), you can click right through to the weekly sales circular to see what’s on sale that week.
You can also create a simple shopping list in-app, and then send the coupons and offers you want to redeem right to your ExtraCare card for easy redemption.
As well, you can sign up for special offers via email from the app so you never miss a coupon or deal again.
Best of all, you can use the app to check if the product(s) on your shopping list are all available at your local CVS store—this feature saves you cash and time!
The new CVS app lets you scan barcodes in-store to find out about special deals or offers you may not be aware of. You can also use the scanner to scan your prescription refill barcode and order your refills in-app.
You can now order photos in-app—you can choose from photos stored on your device, on your existing CVS Photo account, or even from your Facebook account! You can also redeem any CVS deal, discount or special photo offer in-app.
How to get the new CVS app
There are two ways to get the new CVS app. You can download it from the CVS website, or find your version (iOS, Android) in the app store of your choice and download it there.
Note: CVS states that Windows and Blackberry versions are available, but may not offer all the features the iOS and Android versions can offer.
