Pizza Hut’s Book It Program Rewards Kids With Free Pizza (Register Now!)

The Pizza Hut BOOK IT! program is back for its 40th year in 2024. Caregivers, teachers, and homeschool parents can enroll their child or student right now on the pizza chain’s Book It website. From there, the child can earn up to six free personal pan pizzas just for reading.

For parents, there’s also Camp BOOK IT!, a parent-led summer program that runs from June through August with an opt-in for their parent newsletter. The newsletter has tips for using BOOK IT! with your kids and any updates about the program. Moreover, there are guides for homeschool parents, as well as for classroom teachers, to help follow the program.

Parents can register their kids now for Pizza Hut's Camp BOOK IT! this summer.

Pizza Hut’s Camp BOOK IT! summer program is now open to parents enrolling their children in Pre K through 6th grade (ages 4-12 years old) as of September 1, 2024. 

This parent-lead reading camp runs from June to August and allows you to set goals, track reading with a handy printable calendar, and reward your students, in a digital dashboard. When your child reaches their goal, they will receive a certificate for a free Personal Pan Pizza at participating Pizza Hut locations.

BOOK IT! enrollment is open now for teachers and homeschool parents.

BOOK IT! is now open for enrollment for the 2024 - 2045 school year. Teachers and homeschool parents can register their children and students on Pizza Hut’s BOOK IT! Website for the October to March program. 

Once registered, you can select to participate in the program digitally or with physical paper materials.

If you’re a teacher and choose the paper option, materials are mailed right to your school in one shipment. You’ll also get paper certificates where you can handwrite your student’s name and classroom info and a poster display to track your class’ reading progress. According to Pizza Hut, “Paper materials are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis through Aug. 17 (or until the paper is gone). Digital is always open for enrollment.” It’s important to note that the homeschool program is ALL digital and the paper option isn’t available in homeschool cases. Is my Pizza Hut participating in the BOOK IT! program?

There are over 6,000 Pizza Hut locations around the U.S., so you’ll need to check your local Pizza Hut to see if they are participating.

Who is eligible to register in the BOOK IT! programs?

• Teachers at accredited public, private, and charter schools who teach English Language Arts curriculum for Pre K – 6th-grade students (ages 4-12)

• Parents homeschooling their own children may enroll in the BOOK IT! homeschool program

Who is NOT eligible to participate in the BOOK IT! programs?

• Homeschool support or enrichment and co-op groups (where the student does not attend full-time)

• PTA and PTO groups or parents

• Before and after-school programs

• Campus enrollments are not accepted — teachers must enroll individually for their own classes

• Childcare, daycare, preschool, micro-school programs at residential addresses

Can I register multiple homeschooled children?

Yes, you can select up to five children when registering and you must be homeschooling your own children. If you have more than five, you’re advised to call them at the BOOK IT! hotline at 1-800-426-6548.

How does my student claim their free Personal Pan Pizza coupon?

Once your child meets the reading goal, move the slider in the online dashboard to “completed.” Next, you’ll receive their certificate for a 1-topping Personal Pan Pizza via email. To redeem, use the code on your child’s certificate. 

How to Redeem Your Paper Certificate for a Free Personal Pan Pizza

To redeem a paper certificate, just place your order by phone or in the restaurant and tell them you have your BOOK IT! certificate. Only one certificate per child/student can be used. And this is important: the student MUST be present to receive the pizza. It’s nontransferable and expires within 30 days.

Here are the instructions from Pizza Hut.

1. Click on the code link in the BOOK IT! Reward email. This will take you to the Pizza Hut website to build your student’s Personal Pan Pizza.

2. If you aren’t already assigned to your nearest Pizza Hut location, select delivery or carryout and enter your address to find your local store. You will then be taken to the BOOK IT! Pizza Builder.

3. Once you build your 1-topping pizza, it will be added to your cart and you can sign in to your account.

4. If you have more than one student with a certificate, click on the link in their email next. This will open a new window for you to build the next pizza. But don’t worry, all of your pizzas will be in your cart at the end. Note that delivery minimums apply.

5. Only one certificate per month per child can be redeemed.

Another option.

1. Visit www.pizzahut.com to enter your order (please do not use the Pizza Hut app).

2. Ensure that you’re logged in and localized to your nearest Pizza Hut. Click the cart icon in the top right corner.

3. Enter the serialized code in the “Coupon Code” box (please note that if you are copying and pasting the code, you’ll want to double-check that there’s not an extra space at the end).

4. The website will alert you that there isn’t an appropriate deal in the cart and prompt you to “Go to Deals.”

5. Configure your 1-topping Personal Pan Pizza as desired. Complete the order and check out (code is already applied). Note that delivery minimums apply.

6. Repeat for each certificate you are redeeming — remember, only one certificate per child per month can be redeemed.
