You can sign up for the Rite Aid wellness+ card in-store at any cash register or at customer service. If you prefer, you can also sign up online. After you sign up, you can print out a temporary card to immediately use in-store. You'll receive your physical cards in the mail in approximately two weeks.
- Discounts and coupons: As a wellness+ cardholder, you're able to get member-only sale prices. You'll also receive special coupons sent directly to your email inbox (I got a $5 off $25 purchase coupon just for signing up) and an e-mail newsletter that includes printable coupons. Scan your card every time you check out and you'll receive one point for each dollar that you spend. Fill a prescription and get 25 points. You'll also get 25 points if you fill a prescription at Rite Aid. Your wellness+ card gives you 24-hour access to a pharmacist via chat, and when you accumulate at least 250 points, you'll get a one-time pass for 10% off anything in the store. Plus, you'll get 10% off of Rite Aid brand products, which is good for an entire year. If you make it to 1,000 points, you’re entitled to 20% off of everything in-store for a year!
- +UP Rewards: If you scan your card at checkout you'll also have access to +UP Rewards, which is in-store credit that’s printed on the bottom of your receipt or automatically loaded onto your card to be used on your next purchase—whichever method you prefer. Not all products offer +UP Rewards; you'll have to check the weekly circular or the item's price tag to see if a product qualifies.
Keep track of your rewards
You can keep track of your points online—however, a message will print out on your receipt (or be sent to you by email) when you’re eligible for a reward. This is my favorite option because I tend to lose track of my wellness+ rewards (and my car keys) easily.
Use your rewards
When you accumulate at least 500 points, you get to select your Wellness Reward online under the "View Rewards" tab on your account profile. The offers change frequently, but you can typically find free magazine subscriptions, restaurant gift certificates, gym memberships (my personal favorite), health screenings, and exercise DVDs on the list of rewards. You can't redeem your Wellness Reward in-store—it must be done online. That's fine with me because the selection of rewards is usually amazing!
