Move over, Costco — Sam’s Club celebrated their 40th birthday with a special Sam’s Club birthday membership deal in 2023, and you could join for as low as $10.
From April 14 – 19, 2023, Sam’s Club offered $40 off both of their memberships. You’d normally pay $50 for a Club membership and $110 for a Plus membership, for reference.
While there are plenty of reasons why you should get a Sam’s Club membership, this deal was a big one. We already know that a Sam’s Club membership is cheaper than a Costco membership even without this discount. And when it comes to basic food staples, Sam’s Club often has lower prices, too. So since you could pay just $10 for a basic membership, it was really a no-brainer to join.

The gist of it: Sam’s Club offered $40 off memberships for their 40th birthday, so the $50 membership cost just $10 in April 2023.
Yup, the basic Sam’s Club membership was a legit 80% off in April 2023. A Club Membership normally costs $50, but with the Sam’s Club Birthday membership deal, you could pay just $10 for a whole year.
This 40th Birthday deal also brought the price of a Sam’s Club Plus membership down to just $70 (reg. $110).
The discounted membership was only valid through April 19, 2023, so you had to sign up within the deal window to grab this rare deal before it was gone.

They had more 40th birthday celebrations like the limited-time birthday sundae at Sam’s Club.
New at the Sam’s Club food court (and only available for a limited time) was the Member’s Mark Birthday Cake Sundae ($1.58). It was mixed up with vanilla frozen yogurt, confetti sprinkles, and chunks of iced birthday cake, straight out of the Sam’s Club bakery.
While you were at Sam’s Club testing out your new $10 membership, you could grab a birthday sundae at the food court. They were available through the end of April 2023. And we found even more themed goodies at Sam’s Club like birthday cake popcorn and birthday cake whipped topping, too.
