If the gas pump you’re using doesn’t offer a loyalty program, you need to find a new station.

Aim to save at least a few cents on every gallon of gas you buy.

And once you add gas station credit card rewards to these loyalty programs, you’ll start planning more road trips.

1. Earn 2,000 points and get $2 back with Circle-K Rewards.

Join the Circle-K Rewards program to earn 10 points per gallon, or 20 points for every $1 spent on eligible products. Trade 2,000 points for $2 cash. One of the best parts of this program is how straightforward it is!

2. Easily earn $0.25/gallon discount with the Speedway Speedy Rewards program.

Shop the bonus items inside Speedway to earn points the fastest.

For example, purchasing a few bonus items like a pack of Oberto Beef Jerky and two packs of Orbit gum will earn you 2,000 points.

You only need 1750 points to get $0.10 discount per gallon of gas up to 25 gallons. Or save up to 4,375 points to get $0.25 off per gallon!

You can also use your extra points on food or gift cards.

3. Join Shell Fuel Rewards to get $0.25/gallon discount on your second fill-up, and $0.03 off per gallon every day.

The Shell Fuel Rewards program makes it easy to combine points to earn up to $0.45 off/gallon.

Link your credit and debit cards to the program and earn additional discounts like $0.10/gallon for every $50 spent dining out, $0.15/gallon for online shopping, or $0.20/gallon for booking a flight. You can also earn $0.05 off every gallon for every $50 you spend on gift cards at a Shell station.

Combine your earnings to save big — we’re talkin’ $0.45/gallon!

4. Redeem up to $0.20/gallon at Chevron or Texaco and $1/gallon at Safeway/Albertsons.

With Safeway’s Gas Rewards program, you can earn points in a variety of ways:

  • $1 spent on groceries = 1 point
  • $1 spent on qualifying gift cards = 2 points
  • $1 spent on pharmacy = 1 points

To redeem your points: 100 points = $0.10/gallon discount, 200 points = $0.20/gallon discount, and 1,000 points can be redeemed for $1/gallon discount at any Safeway, Carrs, Tom Thumb, Randalls, Vons, or Albertsons.

Savings are limited to 25 gallons per vehicle.

5. Earn $0.10/gallon for every $100 spent at Fred Meyer/Kroger with Fred Meyer Rewards.

For every $100 you spend, get $0.10 off at the pump (up to 35 gallons).

You can save a whopping $1.25/gallon if you have 1,000 points to cash in! Points expire monthly, but if you do all your grocery shopping at Freddy’s, it’s easy to pile up points.

In most cases, you can redeem points at Shell stations too (check your location).

However, you can’t choose how many points to redeem at one time while fueling up at Shell like you can at Fred Meyer.

6. Join BP Driver Rewards to get up to $0.10 off per gallon on every $100 spent.

You can use the points as you earn them (starting at $0.01 off/gallon) or save them up to get $0.30 off every gallon for a road trip.

After signing up, check your email regularly for additional bonuses, like an additional $0.10 off per gallon.

Rewards are valid on up to 20 gallons and expire the month that is 365 days after points are earned.

7. Save $0.03-$0.15/gallon every day at Costco.

Costco doesn’t have a fuel rewards program, but having a Costco Membership is like being part of a loyalty program.

Depending on the time of year (and where you live), you can expect to save anywhere from $0.07-$0.15 on every gallon, every day. You can even do the math to see if Costco gas discounts alone make your membership worth it!

8. Save $0.02/gallon every day with Maverick’s Adventure Card.

After activating your Maverik Adventure Card, the savings start immediately with a $0.02 discount on every gallon you buy.

You’ll also start earning Trail Points and PunchIt! points to get freebies (mostly food) and discounts on things like gift cards and clothing.

Then use the free or discounted gift cards on fuel for even bigger savings!

9. Join Club CITGO to get exclusive discounts like $5 off gas and food.

Join Club CITGO to get discounts and rewards like $2 off TriCLEAN gas just for checking in on the mobile app.

CITGO also runs random promotions by sending check-in notifications like “Check in today and receive $5 off gas and food.”

10. Purchase items inside to receive fuel discounts with the Hy-Vee Fuel Saver + Perks card.

Look for items labeled as Fuel Saver products inside the store.

You can buy five items with a $0.05 Fuel Saver discount and get $0.25 savings at the pump!

Redeem your rewards at any participating Hy-Vee, Shell, or Casey’s General Store.
