Did you know that you (and your wedding guests) can get discounts if you register with certain retailers? For example, Macy’s recently upped their wedding registry game with a couple of new perks, like a 25% off coupon just for creating a new registry.
We’ll dive into more about the Macy’s wedding registry program below, plus what you get if you register at Crate & Barrel, Target, and others.

1. Sign up for a Target wedding registry and get a 15% completion discount to use afterward.

What the two of you get:
When you create a Target Wedding Registry, you’ll get access to a 15% completion discount. Plus, you can continue to add items to your registry even after the event passes. So load up on the stuff you didn’t get, and save. Target offers hassle-free returns up to one year after your special day.
What your guests get:
As long as your guests buy you items over $25, their shipping is free. (Remind guests to use their Target RedCard for an automatic 5% off!)
2. Add items to your Amazon wedding registry from anywhere online.

What the two of you get:
Thirty days after your wedding date, you’ll get a one-time 20% discount on any Amazon item. You’ll also get a full 180 days to return gifts. The Amazon wedding registry keeps track of who buys what so it’s easier to send out thank you cards later.
But what makes Amazon one of the best wedding registries is the Universal Registry Button, which allows you to add items from other websites to your registry page.
What your guests get:
Your guests get free shipping on any gift over $49, including free two-day shipping for Amazon Prime members. Also, Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Cardholders earn 5% back on all purchases, including on their wedding gift purchases.

3. Get bonus gifts from your Crate & Barrel wedding registry when you receive certain items.

What the two of you get:
You’ll get free bonus gifts when your guests buy you items from certain brands. Plus, you’ll get a 15% completion discount good for any item (including furniture) in-store or online that you can use up to six months after your event.
What your guests get:
Their in-store and online price match guarantee means your guests will get the lowest price on the brands sold by Crate & Barrel. Guests also receive free shipping on gifts over $49.
4. Macy’s wedding registry will give you 20% off everything for six months after the wedding.
What the two of you get:
Once you sign up for a registry, you’ll receive a coupon for up to 25% off at Macy’s. Then, after the event date passes, you’ll get access to the Macy’s Newlywed Discount.
This means you can purchase anything that’s left on your registry for 20% off up to six months after your wedding. You’ll also receive that 20% off on any new items you add (the discount drops to 10% for furniture, mattresses, rugs, and other floor coverings). This final discount is good for up to 180 days after your event.
What your guests get:
Macy’s frequently offers their “Give a Gift, Get a Gift” promotion that rewards guests for buying your gift at Macy’s. The reward? $20 off their next purchase of $50 or more!
5. The Pottery Barn wedding registry offers 10% off everything for six months after your event.

After you get married, you have six months to get 10% off your remaining registry items. You also get the option to allow guests to give you gift cards that can then be used at Pottery Barn’s sister stores: Williams-Sonoma, West Elm, Pottery Barn Kids, and PBteen.

Guests not only get expedited in-store pickup, but they also get free gift wrapping.
6. Get freebies and a 20% off completion discount with a Dillard’s wedding registry.

What the two of you get:
When you register for more than $500 worth of Le Creuset items at Dillard’s, you’ll get a free set of three Felt Cookware Protectors — even if nobody buys the Le Creuset items you registered for. Also, expect 20% off your remaining registry items.
What your guests get:
Guests who purchase gifts from your registry receive complimentary gift-wrapping services at Dillard’s.
P.S. The Bed Bath & Beyond wedding registry & Kohl’s wedding registry are no longer.
Since Bed Bath & Beyond liquidation sales are already in progress, you’re not going to want to sign up for a new Bed Bath & Beyond wedding registry. And Bed Bath & Beyond stopped accepting their 20% off coupons on April 26, 2023. If you have an active wedding registry with Bed Bath & Beyond, it’ll likely be moved to another platform soon (although it’s uncertain where at the moment).
The Kohl’s wedding registry has also been discontinued, as well as their 15% completion discount and the chance to earn 10% rewards on all the gifts purchased from your Kohl’s registry.
If you don’t want to deal with the transfer of a wedding registry from one of these defunct programs, I recommend creating a new registry at another store for any remaining items that have not yet been purchased.
