I despise sticky labels. No matter how hard I scrape, the annoying things just won't go away. I don't like the smells of those chemical solvents that promise to remove tags, either. Luckily, I’ve discovered how to banish those annoying labels using my daughter's favorite food–peanut butter! The natural oils in peanut butter help to safely dissolve the label's adhesive without exposing my family to the harsh chemicals found in store cleansers. Here's how it works:

1. Spread a spoonful of peanut butter over the offending label. You don't have to go crazy–a nice, thin layer of peanut butter should do just fine.

2. Allow the peanut butter to sit for at least 10 minutes. If your label is particularly stubborn, let it sit overnight.

3. Dip a washcloth in warm water and scrub gently at the label. It should rub right off!

4. Remove any excess peanut butter with a sponge dipped in soap and water.

Tip: If you have a glossy or large label, you may find that your label doesn't come completely off in the center. If this happens to you, peel off as much of the label as you can and spread peanut butter over the label remnants. Allow it to sit overnight once again and then wipe clean.
