Military members save up to 25% on the average nightly room rates.
This discount is valid for active duty, retired, and veteran military members. To get the deal, enter code HEROES when booking your stay. You’ll select the duration of your stay and the park location, then enter the code. The prices shown in red are the original prices and the bold prices reflect the discount. You should also see a checkmark and note that says Promo Applied: HEROES to confirm that the discount has, in fact, been applied.

Save the most with the military discount by booking a standard room or suite and staying mid-week.
The code saves between 5% and 25% on the average nightly room rates. We tested the coupon on a standard double queen room for four in Anaheim, CA. It dropped the price for a 2-night, mid-week stay from $219.99 to $169.99, a 22.7% discount. The standard family suite with an additional pull-out sofa is the same price and sleeps two more people, so if possible opt for the family suite.
If you’re hoping for a themed room, the Wolf Den Suite drops from $239.99 to $189.99 for 2-nights after the code, which is a 20.8% discount, the best value we found. But the value of the discounts decreased on the larger, premium, or themed rooms. The premium double king suite drops from $569.99 to $526.66, only a 10.6% discount. Again, this is based on rooms in the Anaheim, CA location. Other locations may differ, but we suggest selecting standard room options or smaller themed rooms rather than premium to get the most out of this coupon code.
The Great Wolf Lodge military discount is accepted at all 18 U.S. park locations.
When you visit the Howling Heroes page, you can use a dropdown menu to view locations. All of their currently open U.S. locations are included in the menu so the coupon code can be used to book your stay at all 18 parks. The Canadian location is not listed (for obvious reasons) and there are three new parks opening between summer 2023 and 2024 which are also not included in the list.
You cannot use the military discount on day passes.
While it isn’t explicitly stated on their website, we tried using the coupon code to purchase a day pass on the website and received an error message. This coupon is only valid for overnight stays at Great Wolf Lodge.
Your discount will vary by park location, duration, and days of the week.
As noted above, discounts are going to vary pretty wildly depending on a few factors. The park location, the duration of your stay, and the days of the week you check in and out. The discount is not valid on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. If any day of your trip falls on a weekend day, the discount will be less because it won’t be taken into account on that day of your trip.
A member of your party must have a valid military ID at check-in.
You won’t need a military ID to book your room online, but you will need to show a military ID, DD-214, or other valid ID in person. And the military member of your family must be present at check-in. You can use the discount on more than one room during your stay, but there must be someone 21 years of age or older staying in each room.
The Howling Heroes discount also applies to police, firefighters, emergency responders, and more.
Military families aren’t the only ones who can take advantage of the Howling Heroes program. This coupon code is valid for several other heroic professions. As with military families, you’ll need to show a valid ID during check-in at the time of your stay.
