How do Target prices compare to other grocery stores and big-box chains? What are the best things to buy at Target? And do Target gift card deals really save you that much money?
Here at KCL, we publish more than 100 Target deals every week, and these are the 15 brands we consistently see beating out competitor pricing.
1. Pepsi
Pepsi deals always require stocking up to save. Look for offers like $5 off $20 or $10 off $25 in the Target app. I don’t like to pay over $2.50 for a 12-pack or $5.00 for a 24-pack.

2. Vaseline
The best coupons for Vaseline brand are often found in the Sunday paper. Look for the RetailMeNot coupon insert that comes out most Sundays.
Vaseline coupons are often worth up to $2.00 off one item. Take the coupon to Target and stack with a Buy 4, Get $5 gift card promo or $5 off $15 offer in the Target app. Final prices are often less than $1.00 per bottle.

3. Nexxus stylers
Nexxus stylers retail for around $12 but frequently go on clearance for half that price. Find coupons in the RetailMeNot coupon insert in the Sunday newspaper, in the Target app or Fetch Rewards app. Coupon value is often $2.00 off one or $3.00 off two. I like to pay under $3.00 per item.

4. Tide Pods
Target sells the 16 ct. bag of Tide Pods for $4.99 every day. That’s only $0.05 more than Walmart.
Frequently, Circle will save you 10% and then Tide will sometimes have coupons worth up to $3.00 off one. Final price becomes $1.49.

5. Tresemme
TRESemme brand frequently runs in-store gift card promotions at Target. Look for coupons worth $2.00 off in the RetailMeNot insert in the Sunday paper. Aim for savings of at least 70%.

6. Schick
Look for Schick offers on Ibotta and coupons.com. And remember that Target stores will price match Target.com if there’s a better price online. The right coupon stack will score you Schick razors under $2 at Target.

7. Bic
A few times a year, Bic razors are free after a coupon and gift card promo at Target. Look for Bic coupons in the SmartSource coupon insert in the Sunday paper.

8. Neutrogena
Look for Neutrogena deals at Target with a final price of around $1.00 per item. Combine a BOGO sale with Neutrogena coupons, often found in the Target app. Neutrogena brand often releases printable coupons via coupons.com.

9. Room Essentials towels
Room Essentials towels retail for only $3.99 at Target. A few times a year they go on sale for around $2.00 per towel.
Reviews for the towels are great, and it’s always one of our most popular deals when we publish on KCL. Two dollars per towel is similar to what we see during a big sale at Kohl’s, but without the hassle of Kohl’s Cash.
10. Cetaphil
Cetaphil products are pricey, but look for gift card promotions at Target like “get a $5 gift card when you spend $15 or more on Cetaphil products.” Find Cetaphil coupons online and in the Sunday RetailMeNot coupon insert. Aim to save at least 60 percent.

11. Caress
Caress deals at Target only come around every couple months, but when they do, prices drop below $0.50 per bottle.
Look for coupons in one of three places: Target app, Fetch Rewards app and RetailMeNot coupon insert to combine with a gift card promotion — often Buy 3, Get a $5 gift card.

12. Huggies
Target and Amazon are typically the best places to buy diapers. At Target, wait for a “spend $100-125, receive a $20-25 gift card” promo. The best price per diaper will typically be found on the boxes of diapers.
Look for boxes normally priced $24.99 to sell for under $16.

13. Pampers
At Target, Pampers and Huggies are pretty comparable in price because they’re typically part of the same “spend $100-125, receive a $20-25 gift card” promo. So, like Huggies, look for Pampers boxed diapers at or below $16.

14. Beats
Target consistently has the best prices on Beats headphones and earphones. From Black Friday to everyday prices, Target usually has lower prices than Best Buy or Amazon. Look for Powerbeats at $99 or less — compared to Walmart’s everyday price of $129.

15. Contigo
Target consistently has some of the best prices on Contigo brand. Watch for sales and clearance prices where $19.99 tumblers drop as low as $12.00 each.
