If you don’t already have Apple AirPods, Black Friday and Cyber Week are the best times to save.
Walmart Black Friday and Amazon Black Friday deals are over, but we rounded up some tips and insights so you can save on AirPods in 2024. Target has some great deals too — even better if you use your Target RedCard to save another 5%.

The best places to find Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on AirPods are Amazon, Walmart, and Target.
Which retailers have the best AirPod Cyber Monday sales?
Amazon Black Friday and Walmart Black Friday tend to have the lowest prices for AirPods throughout the holidays and offer the biggest Black Friday discounts. And if one of their prices drops, you can pretty much count on the other to drop their prices to match it.
Target will sometimes match these prices, and the 5% RedCard discount helps them beat the prices of the other two.
Check for deals at these stores first, and then compare prices at other stores (like Costco, Best Buy, and even Apple) to make sure you have the best AirPods deal out there.

Shop Amazon and Walmart for AirPods a few weeks before Black Friday— AirPods 2nd Generation went for as low as $69 in mid-November 2023.
If we look at both the money you’re saving and the percentage discount, Walmart and Amazon’s deal for the AirPods 2nd Generation comes out on top.
In mid-November, we were really lucky to find Walmart dropped the price to $69 for the 2nd Gen, and Amazon matched the price for the duration of the offer. The price went back up since then and didn’t return on Cyber Monday. However, you could still get them at a discount at $79.99.
Otherwise, get them for $79 now at Amazon — which is about 39% off the regular $129 price, lower than what we saw during Amazon Prime Day ($89). A nice $50 price drop!
Costco and Target Black Friday come in second place with $89 AirPods.
How much should I pay for AirPods on Cyber Monday? These are the lowest prices we’ve seen in past sales.
AirPods 2nd Generation: $79.99 at Walmart and Amazon (reg. $129.99, 38% off) *Note* This can go for as low as $69, but this deal comes and goes.
AirPods 3rd Generation: $139.99 at Amazon (reg. $179.99, 22% off)
AirPods Pro 2nd Generation: $199.99 at Amazon, Target, and Walmart (reg. $249.99, 20% off)
AirPods Max: $449 at Amazon and Walmart (reg. $549.99, 18% off)
The more expensive the model of AirPods you want, the smaller the percentage discounts are. But generally speaking, if you can’t save at least 20% on AirPods this Cyber Monday, don’t bother.
For the 2nd Generation AirPods, it’s easy to get at least 25% off — although we saw discounts of up to 39% off. So if you find Apple AirPods on sale for 30% or more on Cyber Monday, buy them immediately!
A good discount for AirPods 3rd Generation and AirPods Pro starts at 20% off.
Of course, if you’re in the market for those over-the-ear, ultra-spendy AirPods Max, you’re gonna be overjoyed to get 18% off the $549.99 price point. That would be $100 off like what we saw at Amazon and Walmart. It doesn’t get better than that.
Save even more with refurbished AirPods at places like Best Buy.
Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy all sell refurbished products, and in many cases, these have been professionally tested to ensure they work like new. Although you won’t be the first person to own these AirPods, you can get some significant savings by going this route.
For example, some refurbished 3rd Generation AirPods at Best Buy cost $126.99 last year — that’s 29% off the new price of $179.99.
Look out for Apple to offer special incentives on AirPods.
In past sales, Apple offered up to $75 in Apple gift cards when you bought AirPods Pro (2nd Gen), AirPods (2nd Gen), Airpods (3rd Gen) with Lightning Charging Case, or AirPods Max from Apple.
Also: Apple offers free engraving for personalizing your AirPods if you buy from them directly and choose the option before checkout.
Target Circle Card members save an extra 5% on AirPods purchases this Cyber Monday.
Big box retailers like Target, Walmart, and Amazon tend to get competitive with their Black Friday prices on top tech, including the Apple AirPods. You can expect to find similar prices across models at these three stores, but the extra 5% discount for Target Circle Card members drops those prices even lower.
For example, Target sold the Apple AirPods Pro for just $169.99 (reg. $249). With the extra 5% Circle Card discount, that price dropped to just $161.49 — making it a must-buy 35% total discount.
