If you wear anything smaller than a women’s 8 or a men’s 8, buy Kids’ Converse because they’re 20% cheaper.
Converse shoes are unisex. The outside of the box lists both women’s and men’s sizes. But Converse also makes classic styles in kids’ sizes, and they’re cheaper than adult-sized styles. So if a retailer says, “Women’s Chuck Taylors” or “Girls’ Chuck Taylors,” you can ignore that.
This means you can buy kids’ Converse on sale (like the one Kohl’s offered in 2021) and get a deal, compared to paying full price for women’s shoes.
To figure out what your size would be in kids’ shoes, just take your regular size and subtract two sizes. (Example: adult “women’s” size 7 shoe – 2 = kids’ size 5).
Here’s an example of how this works:
- Women’s Chuck Taylor All-Star Lift Platform shoes are $70, while the same Chuck Taylor shoes are $55. Save $15, which is 21%, and it’s the same size!
- Men’s Star Player 76 shoes are $75, but the boys’ Star Players are only $60. Save 20%!
TIP: Do you have wide feet? Definitely buy kids’ shoes, since kids’ Converse are slightly wider than adult sizes.

Various shoe retailers offer Black Friday savings you’ll want to look into if you’re in the market for a new pair of Converse. Just pay close attention to exclusions at these stores. In years past, Converse has not been excluded, but the long list of brands that don’t qualify for the sale are the biggest bummer about these stores.
Famous Footwear
In 2022, the retailer had a buy more, save more promotion. You could get $10 off $50; $15 off $75; $20 off $100. However, some Converse are excluded from this offer (you’ll see the “coupon excluded” below each product for which the code does not apply).
DSW
We found an extra 25% off select Converse with a promo code at DSW. The shoe retailer’s sale only lasted two days, so don’t delay when it comes time to shop.
Foot Locker
Shoppers saw up to 25% off and free shipping on all orders of $99 or more, with the promo code. Based on past years, Foot Locker will probably offer an Early Black Friday sale in mid-November and then an actual Black Friday sale starting on Black Friday. Definitely check in on the early sale, but historically, the best Converse deals happen during Black Friday.

Black Friday sales are great, but that’s just one time of year. Converse has a few promotions that can save you up to 20% year-round:
- One-time 15% off discount with email registration. Good through Dec. 31, 2023 at 2:59 a.m. ET.
- Get 20% off during your birthday month when you sign up for email promotions.
- 10% discount for college and university students. Eligibility is verified through SheerID.

3. What is the Converse exchange and return policy?
If you’re not happy with your purchase, you can exchange it at any Converse retail location. Gifted items have to be returned by the person who bought it.
Converse.com orders can be returned within 30 days after delivery. You’ll have to print your own free return shipping label since Converse doesn’t provide them anymore.
For Converse members, your return label is in your My Account section under My Orders. Just pack up what you want to return, attach the label on the outside of the box, and drop it at any UPS location.
4. How can I get a refund?
After receipt of returned order, refunds are processed within two business days to your original form of payment. For PayPal orders, your refund will be on a physical gift card. If you used a Converse gift card, you’ll get a new one with your refund.
