There are plenty of perks of having an Amazon Prime membership, including free delivery, free access to Amazon Prime Music, and even free books through Prime Reading. But did you know that your free delivery includes free food delivery from Grubhub?

Right now, there’s a special Prime Big Deal Days offer where Amazon Prime members can get one year of Grubhub Plus for free, but we don’t know when the offer ends. Plus, you can save on your next Grubhub order with a special code. More on that below.

Wondering how Grubhub Plus works — or heck, even how Grubhub regular works? We break it down.

Make sure to download the Krazy Coupon Lady app for more money-saving tips. Or, text HACKS to 57299.

Amazon Prime members can get one year of Grubhub+ for free.

In honor of Prime Big Deal Days coming up on Oct. 10 and 11, Amazon has a special deal with Grubhub. Any member who signs up for Grubhub+ through Amazon Prime can get 12 months of Grubhub+ for free. After that time period, members have to start paying the regular membership fees.

Plus through Oct. 11, use code PRIME5 to save on $5 on your next $25+ Grubhub order.

Amazon Prime members register for Grubhub+ in only a few clicks.

First things first: in order to activate your free Grubhub Plus account, you’ll need to sign up for Amazon Prime — which typically costs $14.99/month or $169/year.

Prime members can then click over to the Prime/Grubhub offer page. Select “Activate Free Grubhub Plus.” Once you click on the link, you’ll connect Prime to Grubhub and begin your yearlong free trial of Grubhub Plus.

If you’re thinking about getting a food delivery subscription, this Grubhub Amazon Prime deal is one of the best.

Grubhub Plus costs $9.99/month — a $119.88 value. That’s 70.9% of the original Amazon Prime price. That means you’ll only be spending $50 more to get both Amazon Prime and Grubhub.

DashPass, Uber One, and Postmates subscription services all cost $9.99/month too, but they don’t come with Prime. (We’ve done all the research to find out which is the cheapest food delivery service.)

You’ll be charged $9.99/month when your yearlong subscription ends.

After your year of free Grubhub Plus, you’ll be charged $9.99/month on your linked account, so make sure you note when your subscription starts so you can cancel before you automatically get charged. (And after the year is up, you’ll pay the $9.99/month for Grubhub Plus; there’s no special discount for being a Prime member after the trial.)

If you cancel your Amazon Prime account, you will start getting charged the $9.99/month immediately.

Amazon Prime Student accounts can get Grubhub Plus for a year (but there’s a way to get two years free).

If you’re a college student and your university is participating in the Grubhub Campus Dining program, you have the ability to get one year of Grubhub Plus for free. And then once that campus dining trial is over, you can take advantage of the Amazon Prime Grubhub Plus promotion — giving you two full years for free.

What are the benefits of having a Grubhub Plus membership?

With Grubhub Plus, you can enjoy the cheapest service fees across the food delivery services, free delivery on orders of $12 or more, and access to exclusive coupons for your next orders.

Here are a few of the best coupons that we’ve seen so far:

  • $5 off orders of $20 or more at Chipotle
  • A free appetizer with an order of $30 or more (local restaurants)
  • 20% off an order of $5 or more (local restaurants)

If you’re not sure if Grubhub Plus is right for you, there’s a 14-day free trial that you can use to decide if you want to keep the service.

Use a discounted Grubhub gift card to get an even bigger discount with Grubhub Plus.

Before you make any orders through Grubhub, make sure to pick up a discounted gift card from Raise.com. In the past, we’ve seen discounts of up to 9.4% on Grubhub gift cards. That means you’ll be able to get a 9.4% discount on your order on top of getting free delivery. You won’t be able to use these gift cards on your Grubhub Plus subscription, but you can use them on all your food orders.

If there aren’t any gift cards available on Raise.com, you can always get a 5% discount on all your gift card purchases with a Target RedCard. It’s one of the many benefits of having a Target RedCard.

If you’re looking for more ways to get free food delivery, several companies have partnered with them to give customers an extended free trial of the delivery service. Here are all the ways you can get free delivery subscriptions:

  • DoorDash’s MasterCard DashPass: World and World Elite cardholders for the MasterCard can get three months of DashPass for free. Plus $5 credit every month.
  • DoorDash’s Chase Sapphire DashPass: A year of DashPass for cardholders of the Chase Sapphire cards.
  • Uber One with American Express Cards: A year of Uber One for American Express cardholders.
  • Grubhub Plus with Lyft Pink: A year of Grubhub Plus when you’re subscribed to Lyft Pink.

Note: Keep an eye out for Disney Plus offering six months free of Uber One to their subscribers. They offered it last fall.
