You have to spend at least $1 or order specific menu items to get free McDonald’s during promotions.
With the McDonald’s Mariah Menu and Camp McDonald’s promotions, all you need to do to get your free McDonald’s is spend at least $1 (the price of a large soda) in the McDonald’s app or order a specific menu item to qualify for free McDonald’s.
These deals are only available through the app, so be sure to download and sign up for the McDonald’s Rewards program as soon as possible so you don’t miss a single deal.
You can place a to-go order via the app or use the app for drive-up or in stores (where applicable) to get the free menu item of the day.

The Deals section of the McDonald’s app is constantly filled with bargains or freebies. Some are for mobile order and pay only, so just make sure you look to see each deal’s specific requirements.
Here are some past examples of deals we’ve seen come and go on the app:
- Free medium fries with any purchase
- Free medium fries and soft drink with purchase of a signature crafted sandwich
- Buy 1 Get 1 Free sandwich
- $3 off any purchase of $15 or more (which could, in theory, cover the cost of many of the items on the holiday freebie list)

Always complete your McDonald’s Receipt Survey to get free food.
Your McDonald’s receipt will get you free McDonald’s, such as a Hamburger (regularly $1.79) or Egg McMuffin (regularly $4.39), or you could get an offer like a Buy 1 Get 1 Free on a Quarter Pounder with Cheese (regularly $4.89).
Visit the McDonald’s Customer Satisfaction survey website and fill out the survey using the 26-digit survey code on your receipt. Once you complete the survey, you’ll receive a McDonald’s survey code that you can redeem on your next visit.
