The Starbucks winter menu drops every year in early January. This year new items arrived on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025. Their new lineup has two new drinks and two returning faves, along with a new (and cheaper) Matcha recipe.
Starbucks prices have increased on four winter menu items since last year. And since prices aren't dropping anytime soon, I've got a couple Starbucks hacks to help you order the Starbucks winter menu for less.
Here are all the details on the new menu drops, what the new items cost, and how to save on Starbucks this month.

The Starbucks winter menu dropped on Jan. 3, with prices starting at $4.25.
The Cortado is a new addition and has three ristretto shots of Starbucks Blonde espresso and steamed whole milk. Get a dairy-free (and sweeter) version with the Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado.
Food-wise, they're bringing back the Vanilla Bean Custard Danish and adding a new vegan Spicy Falafel Pocket with a Bitchin' Sauce made with almonds and chipotle.
Here’s what else is on the post-holiday menu:
Prices vary by location.
New! Cortado: $4.45 for Short size only
New! Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado: $4.95 for Short size only
Pistachio Latte: $6.25 for Grande ($0.50 higher than last year)

The Starbucks Matcha is now unsweetened — and it's cheaper.
Not new to the menu but a change all the same, Starbucks is updating their Matcha recipe. The powder is now unsweetened, and all Matcha drinks will be made with a blender rather than the shaker. Matcha-based drinks will now be sweetened with Classic syrup and can be made unsweetened by request.
You'll be surprised to know that the prices for the new Matcha drinks have actually decreased.
Prices vary by location.
New Recipe! Matcha Latte: $5.25 ($0.20 less than last year)
New Recipe! Iced Matcha Latte: $5.45 ($0.20 less than last year)

Get Starbucks winter menu items free with Starbucks Rewards and reusable cups.
If you’re not getting free Starbucks by earning Starbucks Rewards Stars, you’re missing out. And if you don’t use a Starbucks reusable cup every time you get a drink at Starbucks, you’re not earning those Stars nearly as quickly as you could be.
Every time you bring your reusable cup to Starbucks, you get 10 cents off, but you also get 25 Stars added to your account. Do that just four times and you’ve earned 100 Stars — which will get you a free hot or iced coffee or tea.
Use 100 Stars to get a free coffee; then customize it instead of using 200 Stars on a winter drink.
My absolute favorite Starbucks hack is to use 100 Stars on a free coffee and customize it to create one of the Starbucks winter drinks. So instead of using 200 Stars to score a free Pistachio Cream Cold Brew, get a free Starbucks coffee in half the time by customizing an iced coffee.
Customize a free iced coffee to create a Pistachio Cream Cold Brew.
Here's how to do this in the Starbucks app:
Order a Grande Iced Coffee.
Click to "Customize."
Add two pumps of Vanilla Syrup.
Add Pistachio Cream Cold Foam.
Add Salted-Brown Buttery Topping.
Use 100 Stars at checkout to get this drink for free.
