Trying to start a new DIY project but don’t have time for a full trip into the store? That’s where Lowe’s curbside pickup comes in handy.

Let’s take a look at everything you need to know about picking up your next order from Lowe’s.

Download the official KCL app so you never miss out on a deal.

1. Take advantage of Lowe’s pickup curbside or in store.

You have the option to either go for Lowe’s curbside pickup or choose to go into the store. After you make your online order, you just need to select “Free Store Pickup” at checkout.

If you prefer curbside, park in the Pickup area and call the store to bring your order out. If you’d rather go into the store for your pickup, just head straight to the customer service desk.

2. Wait for a Lowe’s email to know your curbside pickup order is ready.

Once your order is ready for pickup, you’ll get an email notification. Ideally, you should leave for the store as soon as you see the notification.

In my experience, pickup times have ranged from as little as one hour after placing my order to a few days. It’s completely dependent on Lowe’s inventory at the time you place your order.

3. Check in through the Lowe’s app for faster curbside pickup.

To make sure your order is ready to be picked up, use the Lowe’s app to let them know you’re on the way. This will notify the employees so they can get your order ready. If you don’t have the app, you can always call your Lowe’s store directly. (So ya know, the app works a lot faster than calling.)

Once you’ve arrived for your pickup, you can notify them through the app or give them a call to let them know you’re there.

4. Have your ID and Lowe’s order number ready to complete the pickup.

All you need to pick up your order is a photo ID and your order number. If you don’t have the order number handy, you can just show them the confirmation email.

Here are some more ways to maximize your Lowe’s pickup order:

Military families get 10% off a Lowe’s curbside pickup order.

You can still take advantage of the 10% off Lowe’s military discount when you’re using curbside pickup. Just make sure your credentials are verified on the Lowe’s military discount page before you make your order.

You have to go in store to apply Lowe’s coupons to your curbside pickup order.

If you’ve collected some Lowe’s coupons, you can still use them for your pickup order, but they don’t do you any favors. You’ll have to go into the store and have them adjust your order.

Use Lowe’s price match for the best price on your curbside pickup order.

Sign of price match guarantee and return policy

Price matching at Lowe’s is only possible when you see an identical item priced higher at Lowe’s than it is at one of their competitors such as Home Depot, Amazon, or Walmart. The item has to be in stock at both Lowe’s and the competitor, and the price must be current (no comparing Lowe’s prices to an outdated, cheaper price).

If you’re trying to price match an item you want to order for curbside pickup, then you need to call 1-877-465-6937. That’ll take you to the Lowe’s sales team, which is charged with processing all price match requests for online orders.

Lowe’s has a few weird exclusions to their price match policy (they don’t match wholesalers like Costco or Sam’s Club, for one). Read our breakdown for all of the essential info.
