Listen, we all want free Starbucks every day, am I right? But we don't always have the 200 Starbucks Rewards points racked up in order to get a free handcrafted beverage. That’s why I'm tracking all the current Starbucks offers and discounts, including all the major Starbucks deals happening this month.
On Feb. 9, the day after the Super Bowl, Starbucks Rewards members will find an offer for a free tall (12-ounce) iced or hot brewed coffee with the purchase of another beverage at the same price or higher. They'll also be introducing their new limited-edition paper cup with the original logo alongside the new winter menu treats: Dubai Chocolate Bite, Cookie Croissant Swirl, Berry Blondie, Strawberry Matcha Loaf, Yuzu Citrus Blossom, and Chocolate Pistachio Loaf.

Limited-Time Starbucks Offers
BOGO Free Coffee: On Monday, Feb. 9, Starbucks Rewards members can check the Starbucks app for this offer: get a free tall-size hot or iced brewed coffee with the purchase of a qualifying beverage. What qualifies? Basically any handcrafted drink (so no ready-to-drink options) that cost the same or more than your freebie. In my area that's $2.65 - $3.75.
Year-Round Starbucks Offers
Free Refills in the Cafe
With the new Starbucks refill policy, customers who visit in-store and order any drink with a personal cup or a for-here cup can get a FREE refill of hot or iced coffee or tea during that same visit.
Bonus Star Rewards Offers
Check your app for account-specific offers based on your Starbucks habits. You'll see a lot of Bonus Star offers in the Starbucks Rewards app through the end of the year. You'll activate these offers in your Starbucks app and earn Stars by completing purchases at Starbucks. For example, I currently have an offer where I can earn 90 Bonus Stars for buying things I almost always buy when I visit Starbucks: any cold brew, any bakery item, and a Strawberry Creme Frappuccino.
Birthday Rewards
Make sure to enter your birthday when you sign up for Starbucks Rewards. The Starbucks birthday drink reward is a free handcrafted drink (regularly $5.95), bottled beverage (regularly $4.95), or food item (regularly $7.25) on your birthday. It’s one of the best Starbucks Rewards perks.
Starbucks Rewards
Most Starbucks offers are for Starbucks Rewards members who have an active account in the Starbucks app. But what does being a member of the Starbucks Rewards Program actually get you? Unfortunately, not as much as it used to. In February 2023, the coffee chain updated its rewards program requiring more Stars for certain purchases. Coffee — which was a 50 Star item — became worth 100 Stars. And as of March 10, 2026, there will e even more changes. That being said, this is still a very worthwhile loyalty program if you're a Starbucks fan.
Other Starbucks Offers and Promotions We've Seen
Starbucks Double Star Days
Starbucks Double and Triple Star Days happen sporadically throughout the year, but in September 2024 we saw them every Tuesday.
Be sure to check your Starbucks app early and activate the offer so you're all set to earn your Stars during the promotions. You earn triple points on all your Starbucks purchases, helping you reach your free Starbucks goals more quickly.
$3 Handcrafted Drinks
This is my favorite offer at Starbucks, and it's the best value when you order venti drinks, especially Frappuccinos. During the next $3 event, activate the coupon in your Starbucks app and order any menu-size drink (short, tall, grande, venti, or trenta) for just three bucks from noon - 6 p.m.
Aim to get at least 50% off to make the most of this deal.

Starbucks BOGO Events
Check for an offer in your Starbucks app for Starbucks BOGO drinks. You'll have to activate the offer in your Starbucks app, and it will be valid from noon - 6 p.m on BOGO days. If you see the offer, you can buy one handcrafted beverage and get the second one (of equal or lesser value) free.
The last BOGO offer I saw was on June 28, 2024, though.

Does Starbucks still do $3 Thursdays?
I haven't seen a Starbucks $3 Thursday for a while now, and there've been no announcements for another $3 Thursday in the immediate future.
When can I get free Starbucks?
You’ll get Starbucks free coffee when you hit 100 Stars in the Starbucks Rewards app. Or hit 200 Stars to earn a free Starbucks handcrafted beverage.
Starbucks BOGO free events are also a prime time to score a free drink. They typically happen on Thursdays or weekends from noon - 6 p.m.
Does Starbucks offer other discounts?
Yes, I frequently see personalized discounts offered for rewards members in the Starbucks app. The offers are usually app-specific, and customers who visit Starbucks less frequently tend to get the better offers (as a strategy to get you back in the store).
I’ve recently seen offers for 40% off your purchase, $2 - $4 off your order, and grande drinks for $4.
