Have you or your kids been collecting leaves this fall? We have at my house and have quite the collection filling up several books as they are drying. The kids and I decided to create a lovely little embellished jar as a way to put all those beautiful leaves to use. It can be used as a vase to hold flowers, as a candle holder that projects a gorgeous leaf pattern on the wall, or it looks great just sitting on a shelf. And best of all, it’s super easy to make!

Materials Needed:

Assorted leaves
Glass jar
Mod Podge, or any white, clear-drying glue
Small foam brush

1. Press leaves flat in a book and let them dry for several days. They won't adhere to your jar unless they are completely dry.

2. Coat your jar with Mod Podge.

3. Arrange the leaves on the jar (my kids loved this part!). Apply additional coats of Mod Podge over the top of the leaves. Let dry.

4. Embellish jar lip with ribbon and raffia.
