After a 2022 full of food nostalgia, Pizza Hut is bringing back a popular item from the late ’90s: the Big New Yorker pizza.

That’s right; we once again live in a world where you can order a Taco Bell Mexican Pizza, McDonald’s Halloween Happy Meal buckets, and a Big New Yorker. Now if only McDonald’s all-day breakfast could come back!

Just when you thought the Pizza Hut Triple Treat Box and the Big Dinner Box were the best things the menu had to offer, we’ve got all the details on the triumphant, cheesy return of the Big New Yorker.

Here’s what you need to know:

You can get a Big New Yorker for $13.99 at all Pizza Hut locations starting Feb. 1.

In case you don’t remember it, the Big New Yorker is a 16-inch New York-style (i.e., thin crust) pizza cut into six huge slices. It debuted in 1999 and only was on the menu a few years. But its popularity and legend has only grown since then — thus why Pizza Hut announced its comeback.

The pizza comes with double pepperoni standard, but you can swap out the pepperoni for one other topping of your choosing; either way, the extra-large pie costs $13.99. You can, of course, customize your Big New Yorker with more cheese or toppings, but you’ll pay extra.

Pizza Hut Rewards members will get early access to the Big New Yorker.

There are a lot of reasons to sign up for the free “Hut Rewards” loyalty program at Pizza Hut — free Pizza Hut pizza, anyone? — and one of them is that they’re giving members early access to the Big New Yorker.

Loyalty customers can order the Big New Yorker a day before everyone else: on Tuesday, Jan. 31.

You’ll have to place your order online or via the app — for pickup or delivery — to get the perk.

Redeem your Hut Rewards points to get something to go with your pizza.

Hut Rewards members earn one point per $1 spent, and you save those points to use on your Pizza Hut order.

We don’t see an option yet to order the Big New Yorker with your points — although that could change as of Feb. 1. In the meantime, you could use 75 points to buy some breadsticks to go with your Big New Yorker. Or 125 points for some cheese sticks.

This extra-large pizza is Pizza Hut’s best pizza deal.

The Big New Yorker is a 16-inch pizza with one topping for $13.99. That’s $0.87 per pizza inch. By comparison, a 1-topping medium pizza is 12 inches for $12.69 (or $1.05 per pizza inch). A 14-inch large 1-topping pizza is even worse at $14.99 (or $1.07 per pizza inch).

We’ve got lots more Pizza Hut savings tips where those came from. And hey, mark your calendars for National Pizza Day in February (there will be deals).
