Halloween will be here before you know it, and Spirit Halloween is already ahead of schedule. For the 2023 season, the retailer is hiring 40,000 associates across its U.S. and Canadian stores. They’re specifically looking for new and returning associates who are at least 16 years old, as well as store managers who are at least 18 years of age.
Due to year-over-year demand for trending Halloween costumes, animatronics, and Halloween decor, Spirit Halloween is set to open a record 1,500 stores across North America in 2023. And to keep up with its growing customer base, they need more workers to fill those locations (they currently operate about 1,450 stores). On July 29, they’re having a grand opening at their flagship store in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

If you have 1-2 years of related retail sales experience, Spirit Halloween welcomes store managers and store associates to apply for seasonal work. Sales associates need to be at least 16 years old, while store managers should be 18 years old. Other than flexible schedules (and a bunch of other benefits), employees get a 30% discount. Wages will depend on your Spirit Halloween location.
While Spirit Halloween’s pay is competitive, your actual wage will depend on store location. But they do offer part-time and full-time schedules, so inquire about hours if you get hired.
Spirit Halloween currently has over 1,400 pop-up stores across the country.
