If you didn’t know it by now, Black Friday as you knew it isn’t happening in 2020.

Walmart is among the many major retailers who want to reduce in-store crowds this holiday season, and they’re doing that by prioritizing online shopping and by chopping their Black Friday sale into three separate events.

They’ve announced “Black Friday Deals for Days,” which will undoubtedly gobble up our November.

Here’s what you need to know:

Walmart Black Friday sales start Nov. 4 (but it’s a little more complicated than that).

This year, Walmart has spread out their Black Friday promotions by creating 3 separate sales events throughout November, called “Black Friday Deals for Days.”

Mark your calendars as such:

  • Event 1 begins at 7PM Eastern Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Walmart.com
  • Event 1 hits stores starting at 5AM local time Saturday, Nov. 7
  • Event 2 begins at 7PM Eastern Wednesday, Nov. 11 at Walmart.com
  • Event 2 hits stores starting at 5AM local time Saturday, Nov 14
  • Event 3 begins at 7PM Eastern Monday, Nov. 22 at Walmart.com
  • Event 3 hits stores starting at 5AM local time on Black Friday, Nov. 26

Walmart Plus shoppers get a 4 hour head start on every online Black Friday sale.

Walmart+ paying members get first dibs on all online Black Friday deals, 4 hours of early access to each online Black Friday Deals for Days event. You must be a paying member to get early access. Free trials do not qualify.

But you don’t have to pay for a whole year. If your goal is to pay for the membership temporarily, strictly for the sake of Black Friday early access, you can do that for just $12.95 — the cost of a one month membership. If you think you’ll use the membership all year, the annual membership is the better deal.

Some deals have sold out before the items ever reached the general public shopping window. Thousands of KCL readers join Walmart+ each November in order to buy for the holidays.

And deals are available to everyone online three days before they hit stores.

In order to discourage large crowds, Walmart is letting online shoppers access their Deals for Days before the in-store events.

The first wave of deals hits online shoppers 2-3 days before in-store sales begin. And Walmart.com shoppers get a second wave of new deals at midnight Eastern — hours before each store’s 5AM opening.

And online shoppers can take advantage of Walmart’s contactless curbside pickup.

During the first event, Walmart will have a 42″ Roku TV for $88.

Walmart promises “amazing deals” on toys, electronics, and home products during the first “Deals for Days” event, starting Nov. 4 online and Nov. 7 in stores.

These deals will be part of that first event:

  • Onn 42″ UHD Roku TV – $88 (reg. $178)
  • Hotel Style bath towels – $5 each (reg. $10.84)
  • Magic Bullet Blender – $15 (reg. $22.96)
  • New Bright 1:6 scale RC Truck – $40 (reg. $90)

Walmart’s ‘biggest wireless phone event ever’ will be part of the second event.

Round 2 of Deals for Days will be focused on electronics including TVs, computers, and tablets, plus savings on movies and music.

On Saturday, Nov. 14, Walmart promises a massive sale on iPhones and Samsung devices. In the past, Walmart has offered shoppers a $400 gift card when they purchase the latest iPhone with a service plan.

Walmart’s third & final Black Friday event starts the Monday before Thanksgiving.

After taking a break for a week between event 2 and 3, the final Black Friday event is set to be even better than the two preceding sales. This year, the final Black Friday wave begins online on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 7 p.m. ET. Walmart Plus members will have early access.

Black Friday deals hit stores at 5 a.m. local time on Black Friday.

Walmart’s annual Tire Event will be Nov. 7-13.

In the midst of the Deals for Days events, Walmart will be doing their popular annual Tire Event in stores and online, offering $20 off per tire and free lifetime balance service on Goodyear-branded tires.
