Walmart’s Black Friday deals usually come in waves, and 2026 should follow the same pattern we’ve seen in recent years. Walmart deals often start online a day early, and multiple waves of Black Friday deals will likely run through Thanksgiving week and into Cyber Monday.

Walmart doesn’t run traditional doorbusters anymore, but you’ll want to watch for “Special Buys,” which are limited-quantity deals on electronics, toys, home goods, and more. Walmart+ members get early access to each wave, which can be useful for high-demand items.

Here are the predicted dates to keep an eye on for 2026:

  • Nov. 13 - 15: First wave of Black Friday deals, online and in stores (Walmart+ members can shop starting at 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 12)

  • Nov. 24 - 26: Second wave of online-only Black Friday deals (Walmart+ members can shop starting at 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 23)

  • Nov. 27 - 29: Second wave of online and in-store Black Friday deals

  • Nov. 30: Online-only Cyber Monday deals (Walmart+ members can shop starting at 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 29)

  • Walmart+ membership: Paid members get five hours of early access online for each wave. You don’t need Walmart+ to get the best deals unless you’re chasing a restock or very limited items.

  • Look for “Special Buys”: Walmart’s term for limited-quantity, lowest-price items. These often drop online first and sell out fast.

  • Walmart stores are closed on Thanksgiving: Stores reopen Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, for in-store shoppers.

  • Price matching and rain checks: Walmart doesn't offer either during Black Friday.

  • Shipping and returns: Choose free shipping or store pickup on orders of $35 or more. Most items purchased starting Oct. 1 can be returned through Jan. 31, 2026.

  • Expect big discounts across categories: Look for up to 70% off TVs, vacuums, electronics, and gaming, plus 50% off toys, home goods, and more.

Tips on How to Make Your Deal Shopping a Success

  1. Shopping Options: Deals are available both online and in stores. Most items go live online several days before they hit stores.

  2. Special Buys and Doorbusters: Walmart no longer has traditional doorbusters. Look for items labeled “Special Buy” — these are limited-quantity deals that drop online first and sell out quickly.

  3. Membership Perks: Walmart+ members get five hours of early access to online deals. This is only necessary if you’re chasing restocks or high-demand items.

  4. Store Hours: Closed on Thanksgiving. Opens at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.

  5. Shipping and Pickup: Walmart shipping and store pickup are free on orders of at least $35.

  6. Returns: Walmart extends their return policy for the holidays. For most items purchased as early as Oct. 1, you have until Jan. 31 to return them.

  7. Payment Options: Affirm and Klarna are available at checkout; no layaway this year.

  8. Cyber Monday Sale: Walmart Cyber Monday deals are one day only and predicted to be on Monday, Nov. 30, 2026, online only.
