It’s no secret lululemon is one of the most expensive athleisure brands. But if you’re a nurse, doctor, or first responder, you can save big money on the brand’s famous leggings, Scuba sweatshirts, and belt bags. While the lululemon healthcare discount used to give healthcare workers a whopping 25% off, they’ve lowered the discount a bit since then — to 15% off. We have all the details you need to know about how to claim the lululemon healthcare discount, what you can use it on, and how it’s easier than ever to use.

This discount is just one of the many lululemon hacks we discovered that can save you a ton of money. We’ll walk you through how to apply for the lululemon healthcare discount and how to use it both online and in store. You can even use the discount on the lululemon “We Made Too Much” deals, which means even bigger savings!

1. Lululemon used to give 25% off for healthcare workers — but now it’s 15% off.

For many years, lululemon offered 25% off for doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers. But in October 2022, they dropped the discount down to 15% off.

And while the savings aren’t quite as good now as they were then, there are a few upsides to the changes they made. Previously, you had to use the lululemon healthcare discount in store only. So if you didn’t live near a lululemon location, you couldn’t take advantage of the savings.

Now, you can quickly verify your eligibility online for the lululemon healthcare discount and save 15% on every single purchase you make from Shop.Lululemon.com. Because the website typically has so much more inventory than the actual stores, there are a lot more products to choose from when you shop online. (And don’t worry, you can still use the discount in stores, too!)

2. Lululemon includes first responders, doctors, and nurses in the healthcare discount.

Lululemon’s 15% off discount applies to all first responders and members of the military, plus healthcare workers in select fields. Here’s who is eligible for it:

  • EMTs
  • Medical doctors
  • Licensed nurses
  • Firefighters
  • Law enforcement members
  • Search and rescue personnel
  • Active-duty military members of all branches, as well as their spouses and dependents
  • Military reservists and veterans

3. You’ll need to apply for the lululemon healthcare discount before you can shop with it.

If you fall into one of the categories listed in Tip #2, you’ll need to apply online before you can starting using your lululemon discount. Unfortunately, it’s a tiny bit harder than just flashing your badge or ID at the checkout counter now. (But you may need to do that, too.)

To apply for the healthcare discount, create a lululemon account online or through the lululemon app (iOS / Android) or log in to your existing account. Then select “Military and first responder discount” and follow the prompts to confirm your eligibility through SheerID. As soon as you receive the confirmation email, you can start using the discount.

TIP: The discount is valid for four years; after that, you’ll just need to reverify your details to continue using the discount.

4. Here’s exactly how to use the lululemon discount in stores and online.

For online purchases, make sure you’re logged into the account associated with the credentials before you check out. You’ll also need to make sure the 15% toggle is switched to “On” every time you place an online order because it won’t do that automatically.

To use the discount in a lululemon store, let the cashier know you’ve been approved for the discount and be sure to bring a valid ID. They may look you up in the system before applying the discount to your purchase.

5. You can’t combine the 15% discount with other offers — but you can use it on sale items.

The 15% off can’t be combined with any other offers, so you can’t use free shipping codes or percent-off discounts with it. But you can use it on already discounted items, like the “We Made Too Much” section. These items are typically listed at a lower price point than other inventory and are eligible for the discount.

6. Lululemon won’t let you use the discount on gift cards or “Like New” items.

While you can use your healthcare and first responder discount on almost anything in lululemon stores or on the website, there are a few exclusions. They won’t let you use the discount on these items:

  • Items on the lululemon Like New website
  • Lululemon gift cards or e-gift cards
  • In combination with other promotions
  • To purchase lululemon merchandise for other people
  • To purchase lululemon merchandise for resale

7. Use these other ways to save at lululemon, even without a healthcare discount.

If you’re eligible for the 15% off discount, that’s likely the best deal you’ll get at lululemon. They don’t offer promotions very often, and when they do, the healthcare discount can’t be stacked.

If you’re not eligible for the 15% off discount, there are a few other ways to save. If you sign up for their newsletter, they’ll email you a 10% off code.

lululemon also price matches between their store inventory and the online shop. Before you make a purchase at the store, double-check to make sure it’s the same price online. If you find it cheaper on the lululemon website, the store will honor the lower price.
