Macy's Fourth of July Sale is a once-a-year, weeklong sale with savings up to 60% across all departments.

Each year Macy's celebrates Independence Day with a weeklong sale featuring savings of up to 70% on everything from apparel to mattresses. This particular sale happens once annually, typically two weeks before Macy's Black Friday in July sale. This is one of Macy's bigger sales, and it happens just once a year, unlike its more regular sales like the Macy's One Day Sale or regular Macy’s clearance , which is available to shop every day of the week.

The sale usually kicks off several days before July 4 and runs until the day after the holiday.

Rewards members may get Star Reward bonuses during the sale.

If you're a Macy's Rewards member, keep an eye out for bonus offers. If there's a Star Rewards bonus during a major Macy's sale, that bonus is usually either $10 in Star Money (1,000 bonus points) or $20 in star money (2,000 bonus points) for every $100 spent. Rules vary on which products earn this bonus. Normally, you get just 1 Star Point per dollar spent. To get this bonus (if it's available during the Fourth of July sale), you’ll need to be in the Macy’s Star Rewards program, which you can join for free.
