Whenever Amazon runs its big prime-members-only sales (Amazon Prime Day in July and Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days in October), you'll find some of the best prices of the year. The key word, though, is "finding." It can be hard to cut through the noise and the hype.
To help you make your shopping list, we asked our most skilled and seasoned Amazon bargain hunters to share the products they're adding to their carts, the prices that they say will make them jump on a deal, and their tested and proven Prime Day shopping tips.

What Our Amazon Team Is Shopping for During Prime Day (July 8 - 11)
Amazon Prime Day can be a chaotic sale to shop, with Lightning Deals striking and prices falling around the clock. And, yes, it truly is a big deal — shoppers shelled out more than $14 billion on Prime Day last year, putting it on par with the likes of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Our Amazon team is tasked with finding the best Amazon deals every day. Here's what they're shopping for this Prime Day.

Amy's on the lookout for beauty and home deals this Prime Day. At the top of her list are personal care items under $10.
"If there's a deal on skincare, razors, or electric toothbrush heads, I’m in," she says.
Also on her list: home and kitchen products under $25.
"I’m a sucker for anything that upgrades daily life—think top-rated organizers, small appliances, or storage hacks," she says.
Amy's Top Shopping Tip: To prep, she's adding items to her Amazon cart ahead of time and using price tracking tools like CamelCamelCamel and Keepa to see if a deal is the best of the year.
"It’s a mix of planning ahead and being ready to jump fast when the best lightning deals drop," she says.
Amy’s Prime Day Picks:
Price She Wants: 50% off
Price She Wants: under $10
Price She Wants: $29.99

Chanel is on the hunt for cute home decor, a cordless vacuum under $50, and everyday items, "especially when they come in a bulk pack," she says.
Stocking up on practical items is a smart Prime Day move, as we see plenty of deals on household essentials and groceries during Amazon's biggest sales.
Chanel's Top Shopping Tip: To prepare, she's creating a list of needs and wants and checking product reviews ahead of time.
"If I have my eye on a particular item, I add it to my cart or wishlist for easy access," she says.
Chanel’s Prime Day Picks:

Katie's Prime Big Deal Days shopping list dominated by household essentials and beauty products this year. Think Brita filters and cleaning supplies.
"A full sheet set for under $10 will definitely get my attention," she says. "My toaster also broke so I'm looking for one that will last."
Katie's Top Shopping Tip: And her top tip for prepping for the sale is also one we highly recommend.
"I’m looking through last year’s deals for a refresh on what I can expect," she says.
If an item has a history of getting discounted during Amazon's big sales (like Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days), it's one to watch.
Katie’s Prime Day Picks:
Brita UltraMax Large Water Dispenser With 1 BritaPlus Filter
Price She Wants: Under $35

Cayla is on the hunt for electronics over 30% off, bedding under $20, and personal care products under $10 during Prime Day.
"I’m hoping to get a set of sheets for under $10, which is highly likely during Prime Day," she says.
Her shopping list includes her family, but also herself.
"If my shopping cart's too full of products for me, I can convince myself it’s a late birthday gift and I’m treating myself, which is the biggest summer Prime Day perk," she says.
Cayla's Top Shopping Tip: To stay organized, she's using Amazon's Wishlist feature and stocking it with items she's been hesitant about buying at full price.
"That allows me to organize them and not frantically search for them during the event, since some items sell out quickly," she says.
Price trackers and her own experience of deal hunting for KCL (she's got two Prime Days under her belt) are also her Prime Day copilots!
Cayla’s Prime Day Picks:
Price She Wants: $500 or less
Price She Wants: $14 or less

Elyssa's Prime Day shopping list is summery. She's looking for outdoor solar light multipacks (under $20), a slushy machine (under $175), summer activities for kids, camping gear, portable fans, solar lanterns, s'more kits, and griddles.
"I refuse to pay full price," she says. "Prime Days are some of my favorite sales! And of course, I’m grabbing things for my husband and kids too —they always get spoiled when the deals are just too good to pass up."
Elyssa's Top Shopping Tip: To stay organized, she's got a Google doc primed and ready to go.
"I’m super organized, so Prime Day will be no different," she says. "I’ve got a Google Doc ready with lists of popular products that usually do well, along with the price points I want to stay under."
Elyssa's Prime Day Picks:

She's also planning ahead for her son's birthday.
"He has a July birthday, and also will need school supplies before we know it," she says. "And if I happen to see something I myself need at a good price, well, I guess I’ll have to buy it."
Laura's Top Shopping Tip: To stay organized, she's using Excel sheets and making note of current prices of products she's eyeing, so she can see if the Prime Day price is actually a good deal. She's also combing through KCL's records to see which items were discounted during Prime Days past and keeping an eye on (what else?) KCL's Prime Day Deals page.
Laura's Prime Day Picks:

Water Dental Flosser or Electric Toothbrush
