  • All local retailers (Target, Walmart, Sears, etc.) within 25 miles of a local Best Buy store or within 25 miles of the billing or shipping address for online purchases.
  • BestBuy.com
  • Any items at Best Buy or BestBuy.com that are marked down during the return/exchange period (typically 15 days with some exceptions).

  • Crutchfield.com

2. How they price match

The official Best Buy policy reads as follows:

Our Low Price Guarantee covers one price match per identical item, per customer, at the current pre-tax price available to all customers.

Price matching does apply to pre-orders, back orders, store pick-up and delivery items.

3. How to redeem a price match

The method to redeem a price match depends on whether you bought the item in-store or online at BestBuy.com.

In a Best buy store:

  • Visit the customer service desk in-store.
  • Ask for a price match on your item and display proof. Here, Best Buy suggests bringing in the advertisement with the lower price or giving the Best Buy agent the URL to the website displaying the lower price. Best Buy also reserves the right to call the other retailer to confirm the lower price before honoring it.
  • Wait for the service agent to verify the lower price and approve it.
  • Purchase the price-adjusted item – or receive the difference in a refund during the exchange/refund period. Typically, this period is 15 days.   • Ask for a price match on your item and offer proof. Here, Best Buy suggests giving the phone agent the URL to the website displaying the lower price. Best Buy also reserves the right to call the other retailer to confirm the lower price before honoring it.
  • Wait for the service agent to verify the lower price and approve it.
  • Purchase the price-adjusted item – or receive the difference in a refund minus shipping/handling within the 15-day exchange/refund period (14 days for mobile/connectable devices). If you are a My Best Buy program member, your eligible period may be 30 or 45 days.
