Every year on National Lipstick Day, expect various beauty retailers and brands to offer deals on lipstick products like BOGO free offers, freebies, and discounts typically ranging from 20% to 50% off. We’ve seen Ulta, Macy’s, Anastasia Beverly Hills, ColourPop, Kylie Cosmetics, and more participate.

National Lipstick Day happens on July 29 every year — but there’s nothing particularly special about that date. In 2024, National Lipstick Day will take place on Monday, July 29.

Here’s what we expect from National Lipstick Day 2024.

We expect select retailers, like Ulta and Macy’s, to begin their lipstick offers during the week of July 22, 2024. Based on 2023 deals, you can likely expect BOGO offers as well as 40% to 50% off popular brands like NYX, Essense, ColourPop, Maybelline, Too Faced, and more.

Expect deals to begin a few days prior to July 29 or for 24 hours only on July 29. We rarely see deals last longer and, usually, sales end completely on National Lipstick Day.

Retailers we think you can expect to have lipstick deals in 2024.

  • Ulta: 40% off select lip products from top brands. Buy one, get one 50% drugstore brands.

  • Macy’s: Up to 40% off brands like Anastasia, Too Faced, and M.A.C.

  • Anastasia Beverly Hills: Buy one get one promotion, likely 25% off.

  • ColourPop: Up to 50% off all lip products.

  • Kylie Cosmetics: Free lip product with minimum order value (it was $40 in 2023).

  • Kevyn Aucoin Beauty: 20% off all lip products and a product with minimum lip purchase.

  • M·A·C: 40% off select lip products.

  • Target: 20% off lipstick for one day only. (They excluded Ulta @ Target, minis, lip balm, chapstick, and clearance items. Brands included: Revlon, NYX, Maybelline, ZuZu Luxe, Milani in 2023.)

  • Target: Buy 1, get 1 25% off select lip products for one day. (Included Mented Cosmetics, e.l.f., NYX Professional, Covergirl, L.A. Girl, Milani lip oils, Pixi, ColourPop Lux, essence, Wet n Wild, Revlon, Neutrogena and more.)

  • Pat McGrath: A rare 30% off select lip products.

  • Lancôme: Buy one, get one free on lipstick or gloss.

  • Sephora: For one day only, they offered 50% off select lip products. Brands included: Fresh Sugar Lip Balm, Tarte, Yves Saint Laurent, Sephora Collection, Armani Beauty, Huda Beauty, Lancome, GXVE by Gwen Stefani, Nudestix, Milk Makeup, Saie, Pat McGrath Labs, Freck Beauty, Iconic London, and IT, including others.

  • Charlotte Tilbury: Free gifts from Charlotte with all orders over $95.

  • Kosas: Free full-size lipstick with orders over the spend threshold (In 2023, it was $70).
