We’re all set for a holiday shopping battle royale in mid-October, as Best Buy has announced that they, too, are holding a major shopping event on Oct. 13 and 14.

Amazon Prime Day was rescheduled for Oct. 13 and 14 this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, and since that announcement, Target, Walmart, and now Best Buy have announced simultaneous big sales.

Oct. 13 is also the day Apple plans to announce the iPhone 12.

Here’s what you need to know:

Best Buy will unlock Black Friday deals Oct. 13-14.

In their announcement of the sale, Best Buy says customers will have access to “dozens of deals straight from the not-yet-released Best Buy Black Friday ad” for two days.

The full Black Friday ad will release sometime later in the month.

Get a 70-inch Smart TV for $200 off.

Best Buy has given shoppers a sneak peek of the Black Friday deals they can expect starting Oct. 13:

  • Samsung 70-inch Class 4K Smart TV for only $529.99, reg. $749.99
  • Laptops starting at $119.99
  • JBL Free True Wireless headphones only $69.99, reg. $149.99

If the price drops on any of these sale items, you’ll be automatically reimbursed.

But you’ve gotta be a My Best Buy loyalty program member (it’s free to sign up). When you buy, make sure you’ve logged in to your My Best Buy account (or give your information at in-store checkout), and if the price drops below your purchase price before Black Friday, you’ll be automatically credited the difference by Dec. 14.

This holiday season offers a half-dozen ways for customers to get their orders.

Shoppers can schedule an in-store appointment to shop at Best Buy, but that’s not the only way to score the early Black Friday deals. Here are the other options BestBuy.com offers:

Customers may return holiday purchases through Jan. 16.

Best Buy has introduced a super-long return window this year. Purchases made Oct. 13 through Jan. 2, 2021 will be able to be returned through Jan. 16, 2021.
