Hobby Lobby has a decent price matching policy. They price match their biggest competitors, though only if you shop in store. But there are some nuances. Online price matching is pretty much nonexistent, no matter which angle you look at it from. And there are also several product and sale exclusions.
On top of their price matching policy, Hobby Lobby also offers a fair price adjustment policy. This is especially advantageous, as half the store seemingly goes on sale every other week, so you’re likely to catch a break on pricing.

No, you won’t be able to claim a price match if you’re shopping online at HobbyLobby.com.
Do Hobby Lobby stores price match HobbyLobby.com?
Technically, Hobby Lobby stores do not have to match prices found on HobbyLobby.com. And the company openly acknowledges that prices may not always line up.
But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t ask. While store managers aren’t obligated to honor the request, they’re not prohibited from doing it either.

Are there any exclusions to the Hobby Lobby price matching policy?
For sure. The list isn’t incredibly short, either. Here are the scenarios where Hobby Lobby won’t price match:

- On Cricut purchases
- On Silhouette purchases
- On Sizzix purchases
- On Cuttlebug purchases
- On Simplicity & McCall’s patterns
- On clearance items
- On closeout items
What is Hobby Lobby’s price adjustment policy?
Hobby Lobby will do price adjustments on in-store orders for up to 14 days after purchase. This is particularly great because Hobby Lobby tends to offer sales in 2-week or 3-week cycles on a lot of products.
If the item wasn’t on sale when you bought it, there’s a high likelihood it’ll be cheaper in the next 14 days, allowing you to claim a price adjustment and get a partial refund.
You can optimize this policy by getting to know the Hobby Lobby sales schedule.
Can I get a price adjustment if I find a lower price at another store?
There is a way, though it’s indirect. Let’s say you bought some scrapbooking supplies at Hobby Lobby. A week later, you saw those same supplies selling for $5 less at Michaels.
While you wouldn’t be able to claim a price adjustment per se, the Hobby Lobby return policy does give you a 90-day window to make returns. You could simply return the supplies, then purchase them anew with the Michaels ad in hand, claiming a price match.
Does Hobby Lobby issue rain checks?
Hobby Lobby will issue rain checks if your store has a sale on one specific item. But it won’t if the sale is on for an entire item category.
For example, if you were purchasing beading supplies and the store had a sale on Teal Glass & Bone Bead Strands, but they were out of stock, you could claim a rain check in that situation.
But if the sale is for 40% off all bead strands, you won’t get a rain check, even if the Teal Glass & Bone Bead Strands were included in the sale.
