Amazon Prime Big Deal Days Confirmed for Oct. 6-7: What You Need to Know

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is an annual 48-hour event with thousands of deals, but only for Prime members.

About three months after the summer Prime Day sale, Amazon hosts a 48-hour event to unofficially kick off the holiday shopping season. Amazon's Prime Day has grown to four days long, but Prime Big Deal Days is sticking to 48 hours.

During this sale — which is exclusive to Amazon Prime members — there are thousands of discounts across tons of different products, including Amazon Echo devices, Apple AirPods, TVs, smartphones, robot vacuums, and mattresses.

And just like with July's Prime Day sale, the deals are available only to shoppers with an Amazon Prime membership. Not a Prime Member? You can sign up for the sale.

Expect three daily deal drops during the sale

Amazon will be dropping new deals three times daily:

• 12 a.m. PT

• 8 a.m. PT

• 1 p.m. PT

Amazon is promising deals from brands like Shark, Princess Polly, and Soundcore by ANKER in each drop, with limited supply of each. Many other deals will run the length of the sale, though, including Amazon Essentials starting at $10, pet supplies starting at $5, Amazon Basics household essentials starting at $3, and Alexa and Ring devices for up to 45% off.

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days runs Oct. 6 - 7.

The timing has varied a bit over the years, with the sale sometimes starting the second Tuesday of October and sometimes the first Tuesday.

Either way, Amazon usually drops a press release confirming the dates in mid-September, and we'll be watching for it.

These are the dates of all past October Prime Day events (notice the consistent timing):

• 2026: Oct. 6-7

• 2025: Oct. 7 - 8

• 2024: Oct. 8 - 9

• 2023: Oct. 10 - 11

• 2022: Oct. 11 - 12 (the sale was called Prime Early Access that year)

What is Prime Big Deal Days vs. Prime Day?

Don’t get the two Amazon sales confused, as they take place at different times of the year. The Prime Big Deal Days sale happens in October, while Amazon's Prime Day Sale happens in July.

Many other stores piggyback on the success of Amazon’s Fall Prime Sale every year, and 2026 is no exception. Target Circle Week has already been confirmed for Oct. 6-7, and Walmart's Holiday Deals event usually falls right on top of October Prime Day as well.
