Twice a year, Walmart matches the energy of the Amazon Prime Day sale with their own set of deals. In July 2024, Walmart beat Amazon to the punch — "Walmart Deals" kicked off for all shoppers on July 8, while the Amazon Prime Day sale didn't happen until July 16 - 17.
We expect the next Walmart Deals Event will occur in October 2024, since Walmart's event typically runs around the time of the October Prime Day event.

Walmart Deals is a twice-a-year, four-day sale with some of the best prices across departments.
The Walmart Deals event in July is the official start to the summer shopping season (coinciding with Amazon’s July Prime sale), and another sale follows in October. Unlike Amazon though, Walmart doesn’t limit this online sale to just paid Walmart Plus members. (But a Walmart Plus membership could be worth it for the early access you get to the sale.)
Even though Walmart won't price match Amazon Prime Day, prices are usually neck and neck. So, you’ll probably find comparable price match-ups without ever having to ask.

Walmart hasn’t officially announced the next date for their Deals Holiday Kickoff, but based on what they've done in recent years, we here at KCL predict that it’ll take place from Monday, Oct. 7, to Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024.
How do we make our prediction?
For the last several years, Walmart has had a sale surrounding Amazon’s fall Prime Day sale — starting one day before it and ending one day later. Given that we predict Amazon will have their “Prime Big Deal Days” sale on the second Tuesday and Wednesday in October (Oct. 8 and 9), we anticipate Walmart will once again start their Deals Holiday Kickoff sale on Monday, Oct. 7, and end on Thursday, Oct. 10.
What to Expect from Walmart's Competing Prime Day Sale
You can shop Walmart Deals online and in the app.
Shop the Walmart event on Walmart.com or in the Walmart app. Even though the sale is online-only, you can still grab your order at the store with Walmart pickup. You also can choose same-day Walmart delivery in 90 minutes or less, plus late-night Express Delivery until 11 p.m.
