Walmart Deals Event Comes Back Oct. 5-11: Here's How to Save

Walmart is starting their holiday season shopping early in 2026, kicking off their Deals Event on Oct. 5 and ending on Oct. 11. The October sale always goes head-to-head with the Amazon Prime Day sale and Target Circle Deal Days.

Walmart is promising up to 50% off home goods, up to 40% off tech, and up to 30% off groceries and toys. You can expect similar deals during Walmart's Black Friday Event in November, but the Deals Event gives you a first round of savings. Walmart Deals is a once-a-year, weeklong sale with some of the best prices across departments.

The Walmart Deals event in October is the official start to the holiday shopping season (coinciding with Amazon’s October Prime Day sale and Target Circle Week).

Unlike Amazon, though, Walmart doesn’t limit the sale to just paid Walmart+ members. But a paid Walmart Plus membership usually does give you early access to the online deals five hours before everyone else.

Even though Walmart won't price match during Amazon prices, their prices are usually neck and neck with Amazon's. So you’ll probably find comparable price matchups without ever having to ask.

The Walmart Deals Event runs Oct. 5-11

The sale begins midnight ET on Walmart.com and in the Walmart app for all shoppers.

Paid Walmart+ members typically get exclusive early access to shop the online deals five hours earlier than everyone else, starting at 7 p.m. ET the night before, so keep an eye out for an announcement.

All shoppers can shop Walmart Deals in-store, online, and in the app.
