Squishmallows are a big deal right now. But unlike third-party sellers who bump up prices because of the demand, Target Squishmallows are priced as normal — and there are plenty of opportunities to save more on your favorite squishes.
Even though Target’s Pokemon Squishmallows are almost always out of stock, you’ll find a decent selection of original Squishmallows in stores and online at Target. Prices typically range from $10 to $25, but between the Target toy coupon, your 5% RedCard savings, and other Squishmallow deals at Target, bigger savings are always within reach.
One thing I’ll note: be sure to avoid buying Squishmallows from “Target Plus Partners” online (they tend to be pricier). And remember, you’ll need to spend at least $35 to qualify for free shipping unless you’re a RedCard member. But you can always grab your squish purchases for free with Target pickup (and get your Starbucks order brought to your car while you’re at it).
Whether you’re looking for Disney Squishmallows or more Squishmallows that are even rarer (according to the rarity scale), Target’s prices are hard to beat. Download The Krazy Coupon Lady app to keep up with all the best Target deals and toy deals that drop throughout the year.
Here’s everything you need to know about buying Target Squishmallows in 2023:
New Target Squishmallow Halloween Trick-or-Treat Pails:
This just in on Target.com: New Squishmallow Halloween pails for trick-or-treating! We spotted five new Halloween characters online, including Cam the Vampire Cat, Emily the Bat, Holly the Owl, FiFi the Mummy, and Blaze the Monster. Use these Squishies to decorate your home for the holiday. Then, use them to store all your trick-or-treat candy on Oct. 31!
The Target Halloween Squishmallows go for $20 online, but you’ll save $1 off your total when you pay with your RedCard.
Target carries a variety of Squishmallows, with most sizes ranging from 10 to 20 inches.

Target sells a variety of Squishmallows online and in stores. On Target.com, you’ll find about two dozen Squishmallows sold and shipped by Target. In-store selections vary by location, but Target makes an effort to keep a handful of Squishmallows on the shelves at all times. The exception? Black Friday season. Squishmallow demand skyrockets during this time, so they go in and out of stock quickly.
Most Squishmallows at Target are sized between 10 inches and 20 inches, and prices are on par with the normal cost of Squishmallows:

Are Target Squishmallows real or are they knockoffs?

The Squishmallows at Target are in indeed the real thing. You can buy authentic Squishmallows at Target both online and in stores. Just be sure the item’s tag or online product listing includes the “Squishmallows” name. There are hundreds of other plush toys at Target that look similar but aren’t from the official Squishmallows brand.
Target Pokemon Squishmallows are so popular, they’re almost always out of stock.

Pokemon characters are some of the most sought-after Squishmallows in 2023, and Target can barely keep up with the demand. You’ll rarely find Pokemon Squishmallmows in stock on Target.com, and when they are, they aren’t available for long.
In August, Target dropped the Holiday Pikachu Squishmallow online, which shoppers could preorder for its November 2023 release. But preorders sold out in a matter of hours, and it hasn’t been restocked on Target.com since.
All the other Pokemon Squishmallows at Target are also currently sold out, but we’re keeping a close eye on potential restocks online. We’ll update you as soon as they become available again. But you can also click on any of the below product listings and opt to get notified when the item is back in stock:
- Snorlax Pokemon Squishmallow, 14″ (currently out of stock)
- Togepi Pokemon Squishmallow, 14″ (currently out of stock)
- Gengar Pokemon Squishmallow, 14″ (currently out of stock)
- Pikachu Pokemon Squishmallow, 14″ (currently out of stock)
- Pikachu Pokemon Holiday Squishmallow, 14″ (currently out of stock)
Use the 25% off Target toy coupon to save on Squishmallows during the holiday season.

Every October, Target releases a toy coupon through Target Circle, which gives you 25% off one toy or kids’ book from Target. This Target toy coupon is usually valid for about 3 – 4 weeks, and you’ll find it in the Target app or under Target Circle Offers online. All you have to do is save it to your Circle account before shopping in stores or online at Target.
We usually see this coupon drop in mid-October, just in time for the holiday shopping season. So if you have Squishmallows on your holiday gift list in 2023, the Target toy coupon is a great way to save!
Ask for a Target price match if you find a lower price on the same Squishmallow at Target or at a competitor store.

The Target Price Match Policy is personally one of my favorite savings tools. You can ask for a price match at the time of your purchase or up to 14 days after. Not only does Target match their own prices (if an item goes on sale after you buy it), but they also price match a long list of competitor stores. And since many other stores sell Squishmallows, price matching can protect you from overpaying.
The item you’re price matching must be identical in size, weight, brand, color, quantity, and model number. So if you find a super similar Squishmallow with a lower price on a competitor site, it won’t qualify. You must find a lower price for the exact same item to get the price match at Target.
Here’s a list of retailers that Target price matches (where you can also buy Squishmallows):
- Amazon.com
- BestBuy.com
- Costco.com
- CVS.com
- Kmart.com
- Kohls.com
- Macys.com
- Newegg.com
- SamsClub.com
- Sears.com
- Walgreens.com
- Walmart.com
And don’t forget about Target’s Holiday Price Match Guarantee from early October through Christmas Eve. During this timeframe, if you buy something from Target and it goes on sale later (say, for Target Black Friday), you can request a price match and Target will refund you the difference!
For more details about price matching at Target, view the full policy online.
Buy clearance Squishmallows at Target to save up to 70%.

Hunting for squishes in the Target clearance section can save you 50% – 70% on regular prices.
We tend to see clearance Squishmallows at Target during the Semi-Annual Target Toy Sale, or the week after a major holiday (like Easter, Valentine’s Day, or Halloween). This is when you’ll find 16 to 18-inch Squishmallows for as low as $4.49.
The best clearance deals are almost always in stores, so head to your local Target and check the clearance shelf and the toy aisle endcaps for deeply discounted squishes. Don’t forget to scan any clearance Squishmallows you find at the in-store price scanner — you may uncover an even lower clearance price than what’s marked on the yellow sticker.
Pay with your RedCard to save an extra 5% on Target Squishmallows.

If you have a RedCard, you’ll never have to pay full price for Target Squishmallows. That’s because only RedCard members get an automatic 5% off their purchases at Target.
Whether you have the RedCard credit card, debit card, or reloadable account, it’s an easy (and free) way to save a little extra on all your Target buys. You can even stack your 5% RedCard discount with sale prices, Circle Offers, price matches, and clearance deals.
Avoid buying Squishmallows from online Target Plus Partners — they tend to be pricier.

Not every Squishmallow you see on Target.com is sold and shipped by Target. There are also independent sellers, aka Target Plus Partners, who sell their products through Target’s website. The thing is, Squishmallows from Target Plus Partners are generally more expensive than what they’d normally cost.
Take this 10-inch Jerome The Blue Triceratops Squishmallow on Target.com, sold and shipped by SCS Direct Inc. He’d normally sell for $24.99 at regular prices. But on Target.com, he’s priced at $27.99. You’ll cut that price down a bit with your 5% RedCard discount, but still — why pay more than you have to?
It’s easy to spot an item from a Target Plus Partner online or in the Target app. On the product listing, you’ll see this:

You can avoid Target Plus Partners altogether by filtering your Squishmallows search on Target.com. Use the “Sold by” filter above your search results and select Target from the list of retailers.
You have 90 days to return Squishmalllows to Target (or 120 days if you’re a RedCard member).

Squishmallows fall under the normal Target Return Policy, which gives you 90 days to return purchases. If you’re a RedCard member, you get an extra 30 days to make Target returns.
Try to hold onto your original receipt or order confirmation email if you can. Target doesn’t always accept returns without receipts, but they’re more likely to if you have a Target Circle account that tracks your purchase history. Otherwise, they can look up your purchase with your phone number or credit/debit card number.
