It looks like Amazon is going to have a busy October — and a busy end to 2020.
July came and went, and we’re all still waiting for the announcement of 2020 Prime Day. And at the same time, we’re gearing up for a longer-than-usual Amazon Black Friday season.
Sales are about to collide, people. Here’s what you need to know:
Prime Day will be Oct. 13-14 — but early deals have already started.
After much speculation, Amazon finally announced a rescheduled date for Prime Day 2020: Oct. 13-14.
The two-day sales event for Amazon Prime subscribers will begin at midnight Pacific Time/3 AM Eastern Time on Tuesday, Oct. 13, and will run until 11:59 PM Pacific/2:59 AM Eastern on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
That said, early Prime Day deals have already started, including:
- Echo Dot 3rd Generation: $19.99 each when you use promo code DOTPRIME2PK — must buy 2 for $39.98 (reg. $49.99 each)
- Fire TV Recast DVR 500 GB: $129.99 (reg. $229.99)
- All-New Toshiba 43-inch Smart HD TV, Fire TV Edition: $179.99 (reg. $279.99)
- All-New Insignia 50-inch Smart 4K UHD, Fire TV Edition: $249.99 (reg. $349.99)
Amazon Black Friday deals will start a month before Thanksgiving.
UK-based site Tamebay, which caters to Amazon third-party sellers across the pond, reported that Black Friday deals will start Oct. 26, giving shoppers a WHOLE MONTH of deals before Black Friday officially happens.
The UK and US schedules are aligned when it comes to major Amazon sales, so count on this to take place in the US, too.
Tamebay shared they believe the Black Friday sale will showcase different deals that refresh weekly.
That means Amazon will have two months of crazy-good deals.
With Prime Day in mid-October, a month of Black Friday deals from late October to late November, Cyber Monday sales, and then a month leading up to the Christmas holiday, Amazon will be offering a constant stream of noteworthy deals for at least two months.
Amazon is in the midst of a massive hiring spree, getting 100,000 more employees to work the sales.
If you don’t have a Prime membership, sign up for a free trial on Oct. 13.
Amazon still offers a free 30-day trial for Prime membership, which is a requirement to participate in Prime Day (and to get free shipping on all the other sales).
If you sign up around Oct. 1, you’ll most likely be able to take advantage of both Prime Day 2020 and the early Black Friday deals.
Look out for the best prices on Amazon’s Echo, Fire, and Alexa-enabled products.
On Prime Day we see the biggest markdowns on Amazon Echo devices (Dot, Show, etc.), Fire Tablets, and Alexa-enabled devices like microwaves and smart plugs.
Amazon just unveiled a WHOLE BUNCH of new devices, including flying Ring cameras, an Echo Show that follows you around the room, and animal-themed Kids Echo Dots.
