On Monday, May 11th, Kohl’s reopened stores in ten states in addition to the 4 that were opened on May 4. Kohl’s stores are open in:

  • Florida (most stores)

Here’s what you can expect in Kohl’s stores.

Kohl’s is reopening stores with limited hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The new store hours are in effect seven days a week.

 

Expired Kohl’s Cash may still be accepted for shoppers who didn’t spend it before quarantine.

If you had Kohl’s Cash going into quarantine and it expired, contact Kohl’s customer service with your Kohl’s Cash number to request an extension. Shoppers are reporting Kohl’s is honoring expired Kohl’s Cash.

 

A Kohl’s greeter will limit occupancy, “as appropriate.”

In a Kohl’s news release, the company shared, “an associate greeter will be stationed at the front of the store with the sole role of welcoming customers, sanitizing carts between each use, and limiting occupancy, as appropriate.

 

Stores will have senior shopping hours Mon, Wed, & Fri from 11-noon.

Kohl’s stores have dedicated senior hours on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for customers who are age 60+, who are pregnant, or who have underlying health conditions.
Plus, seniors over 60 get a 15% Kohl’s senior discount. You can even stack that 15% discount with dollar off coupons.

All veterans still get Kohl’s military discount on Mondays.

Veterans with an active Military ID or Form DD214 can get Kohl’s 15% off military discount on Mondays.

As with the senior discount, Kohl’s military discount can be stacked with dollar off Kohl’s coupons in the Kohl’s app, but not with percent off coupons.

 

Kohl’s has implemented mask and glove requirements and temperature checks for employees.

If employees have a temperature or are showing any COVID-19 symptoms, they will be asked to go home and seek medical attention.

 

Kohl’s is still accepting returns, including Amazon returns.

Kohl’s has made adjustments to the returns process to minimize contact between the customer and associate. Additionally, returned merchandise will be held off the sales floor for 48 hours.

Returns cannot be processed via Kohl’s Drive Up.

Kohl’s is accepting returns, including those outside their normal 180-day return window, for the first 30 days after stores reopen.

 

Fitting rooms will be closed until further notice.

In addition to dressing rooms being closed, beauty testers have also been suspended to reduce and minimize touch points.

 

Expect social distancing signage near checkout and customer service.

Signage and floor decals have been placed throughout the store to encourage six feet of social distancing.

 

Kohl’s Drive Up continues to be available at most locations.

Kohl’s began offering curbside pickup on Apr 2nd, and the latest from Kohl’s makes it looks like curbside is here to stay.

The limited-contact Kohl’s curbside pickup service will remain available daily from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Most orders are ready within two hours when placed by 5 p.m. local time.
