Listen up! Black Friday ads are dropping all over the place and inventory is limited. But you don’t have to wait for the sales to go live to buy what you want now for the lowest price ever. I have four words for you: Black Friday price adjusting. Take advantage of these stores’ price adjustment policies that are still in effect during Black Friday. Then get the difference back in either cash or store credit! Boom! Sales shmales. We make our own.

1. Best Buy’s Price Match Guarantee gives you the lowest price until mid-January.
The Best Buy Price Match Guarantee is a program that covers both price matching with competitors and price adjusting with itself. Normally, the guarantee works within the normal return and exchange window: 15 days within purchase of most items if you’re not a My Best Buy member. But, this policy levels up during the holidays.
Anything you purchase from Oct. 18, 2021, through Jan. 2, 2022 (unless it’s on the list of exclusions) has an extended return period through Jan. 16, 2022. That means you could have shopped the Best Buy Early Black Friday sale, bought all of your holiday gifts, and can now sit back and watch for the price drop until mid-January. Yep, even through Cyber Monday.
If you missed the early sale, don’t worry. Just buy whatever you need now and don’t wait for a sale.
2. Target’s Holiday Price Match Guarantee gives you all the power.
The Target Black Friday ad dropped Oct. 31. But, you can start shopping now. Heck, you could’ve started shopping on Oct. 10 during Target Deal Days and still gotten the lowest price through Christmas. Target’s price match policy becomes the Target Holiday Price Match Guarantee from Target Deal Days all the way up to Christmas (from Oct. 10 – Dec. 24 in 2021!). Technically they should call it the Holiday Price Adjustment Guarantee, but hey, we won’t quibble. The point is; it’s rad.
Target will adjust the price for almost anything you buy in store or online at Target during the designated time period. In other words, if you buy something the second week of October at Target and it goes on sale for even less a day before Christmas online or in store, Target will refund you the difference! Then, on top of that, they will price match with any competitor for 14 days, even during Black Friday!
3. Take advantage of Black Friday deals now with Costco.com’s 30-day price adjustment policy.
The Costco Black Friday ad dropped on Oct. 26 and the deals went live Nov. 1. Costco is releasing deals throughout the month, but you can buy what you want online or in the warehouse, now. So go go go!
You have 30 days to ask for a price adjustment. If you don’t mind waiting for the sale to go live, and you don’t mind getting a store credit, this is a great way to make sure you get what you want at a Black Friday price now, before it sells out! (The Costco.com price adjustment form says you can also buy something in the warehouse and ask for a price adjustment at the membership counter.)
4. JCPenney price adjusts for 14 days after purchase.
Been checking out the JCP Black Friday ad drop since Halloween? We have. Deals go live on Black Friday. But you can buy what you want starting Nov. 12 and still be within that 14-day window. On Black Friday, march right in store with your receipt and request an adjustment from an associate, or you can call customer service at (800) 322-1189. Just hang on to your receipt.
5. Zulily will do a price adjustment for up to 14 days after purchase.
No Black Friday ad yet for this online retailer. Because Zulily determines their prices by comparing with competing websites, their prices fluctuate as they stay competitive. If you see a lower price on Zulily.com for a product you already purchased, they will price adjust for up to 14 days after your purchase.
