Narrowing down what to buy in November isn’t easy. Black Friday sales bring some of the lowest prices of the year, so we pared the list down to eight things that are worth your time and money. You’ll find deals on electronics, Thanksgiving food coupons, toys, top gifts, apparel deals, and Halloween clearance.

As always, we’ll show you how to beat the Black Friday price. Some grocery deals get better the week before Thanksgiving, and some Cyber Monday deals on apparel beat Black Friday. Because prices always change, we’ve included the price to aim for, last year’s lowest price, and when to shop.

Shop Black Friday sales to find the best deals in November.

Because so many things go on sale for Black Friday, here's a rundown of the sale dates at major stores:

Walmart Black Friday: Walmart has confirmed its Black Friday sale will run in two waves. Wave 1 runs Nov. 12 - 15, and Wave 2 runs Nov. 23 - 29.
Target Black Friday: We predict the 2026 Target Black Friday sale will begin Sunday Nov. 22, with additional deals dropping online on Thanksgiving and in stores on Black Friday. But you can shop early deals Nov. 5-7.
Amazon Black Friday: The Amazon Black Friday sale is predicted to start on Nov. 19 and run through Nov. 30.
Kohl’s Black Friday Sale: We'll likely see early Black Friday deals from Kohl's at the beginning of the month, but expect their official Black Friday sale to begin on Sunday, Nov. 22.
Best Buy Black Friday: The official sale begins on Thursday, Nov. 19.

And now, here's everything you should be buying during these sales:

1. Electronics

November is the best time to shop electronics deals, thanks to Black Friday (when every store that sells them has markdowns at the same time).

TVs

Aim for 40% - 50% off on TV deals, and skip anything under 20% off. For LG, Samsung, or Sony, 20% - 30% off is a deal. Budget brands and last year’s models will see the deepest cuts.

Walmart’s Early Black Friday sale runs Nov. 12–15, with the main event Nov. 23–29. Last Black Friday’s lowest prices:

55-Inch 4K TVs, as low as $239.99 at Amazon
65-Inch 4K TVs, as low as $329.99 at Best Buy
75-Inch 4K TVs, as low as $378 at Walmart

Best places to shop: Walmart and Best Buy, which had last year’s lowest prices on 65- and 75-inch TVs.

iPhones

Look for the best iPhone Black Friday deals on older models like the iPhone 16 and 17. Apple raised their prices $100 in September, so look for gift card bundles. Last year, the iPhone 16e hit $399 at Walmart.

Best places to shop: Walmart (best for prepaid iPhones) and Best Buy.

iPads

iPad Black Friday deals start from higher prices this year: the base iPad went from $349 to $449 in June.

Grab anything near last Black Friday’s lows: $274 (base iPad), $449 (M3 iPad Air), and $399 (iPad mini).

Best places to shop: Amazon, which had last year’s lowest iPad prices.

Laptops

Laptops took the biggest memory-chip price hit. Apple raised the 13-inch MacBook Air from $1,099 to $1,299 and the MacBook Neo from $599 to $699, and Windows laptops are expected to rise about 17%. The price to beat for Black Friday laptop deals: $1,099 for the 13-inch M5 MacBook Air, its October Prime Day low.

Best places to shop: Best Buy (Black Friday sale Nov. 19 - 28) and Amazon, which often price match each other on MacBooks. Last year, Best Buy also refunded the difference if its price dropped after you bought.

AirPods

Good news: AirPods prices didn’t go up, and some AirPods Black Friday deals already beat last Black Friday’s lows. Aim for these prices or better:

AirPods 5: $129 ($149 with wireless charging). They’re brand new, so expect small discounts.
AirPods 4: Apple stopped selling these directly, but plenty of stores still have them in stock. Don’t pay more than last Black Friday’s $69 (reg. $129).
AirPods Pro 3: $179 (reg. $249), a price it already hit in October.
AirPods Max 2: $399 (reg. $549), a price already seen at Amazon.

Best places to shop: Amazon (lowest prices last year and this fall) and Walmart.

Gaming Bundles

Every console maker raised prices this year: the PS5 is now $599.99 (Digital) or $649.99 (disc), and the Switch 2 and Xbox Series S start at $499.99.

Don’t expect last year’s $399.99 PS5 bundles. Look for bundles with a free game, gift card, or controller instead, and expect big discounts on games.

This year's hot gaming system is the Nex Playground. For 2026, Sam's Club (so far) is promising the lowest price ($209) during their Black Friday sale, but Costco will have it for $289 during their Black Friday sale with a year of Play Pass membership included.

Best places to shop: Target and Walmart, which usually have the best Black Friday gaming deals.

2. Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving meal deals start at $3.50 a person this year.

Meal deals (cost per person):

Ibotta, free: Unlock 100% cash back on any turkey (details below), plus a new free side every Tuesday from Nov. 3 - 24, while supplies last. Stack it with any meal deal on this list.
Walmart, $3.50 per person: The $35 Holiday Meal Basket feeds 10 with 26 items, including a Butterball turkey at $0.97/lb. It’s available through Dec. 24, with free Express Delivery through Nov. 30.
Aldi, $3.90 per person: Feeds 10 for under $39, including a 16-lb. turkey. No coupons or membership needed.
Target, $5 per person: Feeds six for $30 with a Butterball turkey and eight sides, starting in November.
Wegmans, under $5 per person: Feeds eight, the same price as last year.
Sam’s Club, about $10 per person: Feeds up to 16 for about $160. It’s mostly ready-made, with about two hours of prep, but you’ll need a membership.

KCL TIP: Many grocery stores also offer a free Thanksgiving turkey in November when you hit a spending goal over a few weeks.

3. Toys

The biggest toy deals of the year happen in November, and Amazon, Target, and Walmart are where you’ll find them.

When and where to shop:

Target, now through Nov. 14: Use the Target Circle 25% off toy coupon on one big-ticket toy or kids’ book, like the MAGNA-TILES 74-pc Set ($99.99, or $74.99 after the coupon). It excludes LEGO, the Switch 2, and some other toys.
Target, Nov. 5 - 7: Early Black Friday Sale, then new deals weekly. Stack sale prices with the toy coupon.
Walmart, Nov. 12–15: Early Black Friday Deals, with early access to hot toys for Walmart+ members. Plus, 25 toys on its Top Toys list are under $25.
Black Friday week, Nov. 23–29: Expect the deepest discounts on big-ticket toys. Last year, the Barbie Dreamhouse dropped to $114.99 at Walgreens (of all places) on Black Friday! We saw it for $94.99 (a price low for the year) at Kohl's later in December.
Amazon, all month: Your go-to for Melissa & Doug deals and small stocking stuffers under $5.
Target, December: Look for another Target toy coupon for $10 off $50 or $25 off $100.

4. Most Wanted Gifts

The gifts people search for most in November, and how to get them for less:

Nex Playground (this year’s hottest toy): Now $299 (up from $249). Buy at $250 or less, a price Amazon and Walmart both hit in October.
Air fryers: Expect 30% - 45% off at Amazon, Walmart, and Kohl’s, where Black Friday week also earns $15 Kohl’s Cash per $50 spent. Ninja is the most popular brand, and its XL air fryer has dropped from $159 to $89 on Black Friday.
Owala water bottles: Expect about 20% off at Target and Amazon during Black Friday week, with select colors going even lower. Last year, the 32-oz. FreeSip was $27.99 (reg. $34.99).
Beauty gifts: Expect up to 50% off gift sets (like Sol de Janeiro) at Ulta and Sephora. Ulta’s Black Friday sale started online Nov. 22 last year. LED face masks are a popular splurge, but discounts are smaller, usually about 20% off.

5. Family Pajamas

Pay no more than $9 for kids’ sets or $15 for adult sets. Buy in November: prices are already low, every size is still in stock, and you’ll have them in time for holiday card photos.

Old Navy: Watch for family pajamas from $6.74 again, plus the fan-favorite $5 pajama pants in the Old Navy Black Friday sale (in-store only).
Target: Sets are full price now (about $20 kids, $35 adults) but usually drop Thanksgiving week.
Kohl’s and JCPenney: Wait for the deepest discounts during and after Black Friday.

6. Women’s Boots

Most department stores drop boots to $19.99, but you can pay $12 - $16 a pair with Kohl’s Cash.

Macy’s: Style & Co boots were $19.99 last year (reg. $79.99), starting the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Kohl’s: Boots started at $16.99 last year. Buy three during Black Friday week and you’ll get $15 Kohl’s Cash back, about $12 a pair.
JCPenney: Look for boots from $19.99.

7. Kids’ Coats

Most stores drop kids’ puffers to $19.99 on Black Friday. Aim for $13 for toddlers and $15 for kids.

Kohl’s: Doorbusters have included $12.74 kids’ puffers after code. On Cyber Monday last year, it added 20% off plus $15 Kohl’s Cash per $50.
Macy’s: Epic Threads reversible puffers were $19.99 last year (reg. $54).
KCL TIP: If you find 80% off or more, buy a size up and store it for next winter.

8. Halloween Clearance

Halloween deals move fast: usually 50% off Nov. 1, 70% off by day three or four, and 90% off by about day seven (candy lags behind). Stock up on decor for next year and candy for stockings.

Target (decor and costumes): Hit 90% off by Nov. 5 two years running. Last year, the Hyde and EEK! knit witch was $2 (reg. $20). Candy stops at 70% off.
Walmart (costumes): Reached 90% off around Nov. 7 - 11 last year. Look for costumes as low as $4 - $8.
CVS and Walgreens (candy and trunk-or-treat): Walgreens hit 80% off candy and 90% off decor by Nov. 4 last year. CVS trunk-or-treat sets and adult costumes have dropped to $1.99 (reg. $19.99).
Candy for the holidays: Walmart.com had up to 75% off last year, and many bags have no Halloween design, so they work for Christmas.

National Fast Food Day is Nov. 16 and we'll be watching for deals from White Castle, Jack in the Box, and more.

Starbucks Red Cup Day — Nov. 17

Another thing to add to your list of things to buy in November? A drink from the Starbucks holiday menu. Get a free red reusable cup when you order a seasonal drink on Starbucks Red Cup Day, which will take place on Nov. 17.

Wait Until December For …

Target Gift Cards

Target often has a 10% off sale on gift cards the first weekend in December. We’re predicting the 2026 Target gift card sale for Dec. 5 - 6, 2026.

Candles

If you want to stock up on candles for gifts (or just for yourself), hold off until December for Bath & Body Works Candle Day. We think you’ll see this sale start Dec. 3, 2026.

Travel Bookings for the New Year

Travel Tuesday falls annually on the day after Cyber Monday — that's Dec. 1 in 2026. It’s the day when airlines, hotels, and even cruise lines offer discounts to get in on all the Black Friday sale madness. We typically see the best deals from smaller airlines.
