I’ve listed a few things that happen to me when I know I’m couponing excessively and my life is out of balance. I hope they will help you identify symptoms of couponing burnout or fatigue before it occurs!
Couponing Fatigue Warning Sign #4: Unbalanced priorities
My husband asked me if I had bought a new dress for an event. I just looked at him and said, “No. I can’t stay out of the drugstores long enough to actually get to a department store—they’re not on my couponing route!” That rang a bell for me. • Not having gifts/cards ready for events or holidays because you’ve been too busy getting a bottle of shampoo for 25 cents
• Getting home late more than 2 days a week because you’re couponing, leaving the spouse/kids waiting for you
• Taking time away from your personal hobbies because you are clipping and shopping
