Knowing about all the best Lowe’s discounts can make a huge difference for your next DIY project. Let’s make sure you know about all the best ways to save money at Lowe’s before your next big trip.

Below I’ve spelled out exactly how to take advantage of discounts such as Lowe’s military discount, the Lowe’s for Pros discount, and their employee discount. I’ve also spelled out which discounts you won’t find at Lowe’s (students and seniors are outta luck here).

Before you read on, be sure to download the Krazy Coupon Lady app and favorite Lowe’s. That way we’ll know to send the best Lowe’s deals and tips straight to your phone.

1. Lowe’s military discount gives you 10% off most purchases.

The Lowe’s military discount gives 10% off to all active-duty military members, veterans, and their spouses. All you have to do is bring your military ID to the store, or verify your status online.

As of March 2022, Lowe’s unfortunately won’t apply the military discount to appliances, lumber, or electrical wire.

Unlike The Home Depot, which limits annual savings through their military discount to $400 per year, Lowe’s doesn’t cap how much you can save through their military discount. That said, Lowe’s won’t let you stack this discount with any other coupon or sale — so your savings are limited to full-price products.

TIP: If you’re looking for other ways to get your military discount, read our roundup of more than 100 military discounts you can get throughout the year.

2. Lowe’s for Pros members save 5% on every purchase every time they shop.

If you have a business that requires frequent purchases from big-box home improvement stores, you’ll want to join Lowe’s for Pros.

Lowe’s for Pros members get 5% savings every time they shop at Lowe’s and access to Lowe’s Volume Savings Program, which promises savings on any purchase totaling at least $1,500.

All you have to do is stop by the Pro desk with your haul and ask them to process the order. You’ll get an answer within minutes and save anywhere from 10 – 30%, depending on what you’re buying.

Registration for Lowe’s for Pros is pretty simple: Just sign up under your business name, wait a few days while Lowe’s verifies your business, and then start saving.

3. Lowe’s first responder discount is a digital book filled with savings — but it’s only available in October.

Lowe’s calls October their “First Responder Appreciation Month,” and in years past they’ve shown their appreciation in the form of a 10% off or $10 off coupon for first responders.

But starting in 2023, they switched to a digital coupon book filled with $1,500 in coupons and savings. Here’s a look at what’s inside:

  • 30% off Cabinets
  • 25% off Allen & Roth Bathroom & Kitchen Faucets
  • 10% off Kobalt Outdoor Power Equipment and Power Tools
  • $10 off Fire Safety Products

To take advantage of this offer, register and validate your eligibility through ID.me and register online at Lowes.com (it’s free to create accounts for both). You’ll receive your coupons via the email address linked to your Lowe’s account.

When shopping online, you’ll use the applicable coupon code at checkout. For in-store shopping, ask your cashier to scan your discount barcode during checkout.

The first responder coupon is not stackable with any other Lowe’s coupon.

4. A Lowe’s senior discount doesn’t exist, sadly.

Lame. And no, The Home Depot doesn’t have one, either. But Ace Hardware does give 10% off at many of their locations.

While we’re waiting for Lowe’s to get with the program, use our guide to find senior discounts at more than three dozen other stores including Amtrak, Hertz, Kohl’s, and LensCrafters.

5. Save 10% on all purchases with the Lowe’s employee discount.

Thanks to the Lowe’s Associate Discount Program, employees get 10% off anything in store. Additionally, they get 30% off all the food and drinks sold in store.

6. Lowe’s credit cardholders save 5% on every purchase.

The best perk Lowe’s offers credit cardholders is 5% savings whenever they shop at Lowe’s, but that’s not the only benefit. Cardholders also get 20% off their purchase (up to $100 in savings), and one year of no interest for six months on appliance and HVAC purchases.

7. Lowe’s discounts can’t be stacked together.

Unfortunately, Lowe’s discounts and coupons can’t be combined for an overall lower price. So, that means you can’t use your military discount with your volume discount, for example. Once you make your purchase, the computer applies the highest percent-off discount/coupon.
